Series to Date/Streaks: The Dragons have won the first two games of this series, prevailing Tuesday 3-2 and winning last night 4-1. Overall, the Dragons have won seven straight games (they have not lost a game since April 7). Last Game: Wednesday: Dayton 4, South Bend 1. The Dragons scored three runs in the first inning, keyed by a two-run home run by John Sansone, and four Dragons pitchers combined to allow just five hits. He was the second overall pick in the 2017 draft out of Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. Austin Kearns OF Stuart Fairchild was a 2017 NCAA First Team All-American at Wake Forest, when he batted .360 with Ty Howington 17 HR and 21 SB, leading the ACC in hits and total bases. Fairchild was also one of three outfielders in the David Espinosa nation selected to the ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove team. Following his first season of professional baseball, Chris Gruler Fairchild was named by Baseball America as the “Best Defensive Outfielder” in the Reds organization.
