Wrapping up a successful rookie year, our Robotics Team, dubbed Singularity Technology, finished the season with an astounding placement in the State Championships for the Tech Challenge division of FIRST, a worldwide organization dedicated to the promotion of science, technology, engineering and math. Our 2014-2015 team will include approximately 10 high school students. We are currently seeking applications from not only science, math and engineering aficionados but especially from those with strong business, managerial, creative and communication skills. Is this you or a high schooler you know? Use these links for the Student Application and Teacher Recommendation forms. The team works with adult mentors who are skilled electrical engineers, architects and computer programmers. Meeting twice a week after school with additional time required as competition season heats up, students work together to build and program a robot, raise funds, record progress and communicate with sponsors and the public. This team concept inspires innovation and fosters self-confidence, communication, and leadership. Singularity Technology relies solely on donations and sponsors for its funding.
