Heartaches by the Number Artist:Ray Price , Writer:Harlan Howard Heartaches By The Number artist:Ray Price , writer:Harlan Howard Thanks to Janet Jones Now I've got heartaches by the number troubles by the score Everyday you love me less each day I love you more Heartache number one was when you left me I never knew that I'd could hurt this way And heartache number two was when you came back again You came back and never meant to stay Now I've got Heartaches by the number troubles by the score Everyday you love me less each day I love you more Yes I've got heartaches by the number a love that I can't win But the day that I stop counting, that's the day my world will end. Heartache number one was when you left me I never knew that I'd could hurt this way And heartache number two was when you came back again You came back but never meant to stay Heartache number three was when you called me And said that you were coming back to stay With hopeful heart I waited for your knock on the door I waited but you must have lost your way Now I've got heartaches by the number troubles by the score Everyday you love me less each day I love you more Yes I've got heartaches by the number a love that I can't win But the day that I stop counting, that's the day my world will end Produced by www.ozbcoz.com - Jim's Lyrics Songbook.

  • 8 Can a Fujiyama Mama Be the Female Elvis?
8 CAN A FUJIYAMA MAMA BE THE FEMALE ELVIS? The wild, wild women of rockabilly David Sanjek I don't want a headstone for my grave. I want a fucking monument! (Jerry Lee Lewis) 1 You see, I was always a well-endowed girl, and the guys used to tell me that they didn't know how to fit a 42 into a 331!3. (Sun Records artist Barbara Pittman ) 2 Female artists just don't really sell. (Capital Records producer Ken Nelson) 3 In the opening scene of the 199 3 film True Romance (directed by Tony Scott from a script by Quentin Tarantino), Clarence Worly (Christian Slater) perches on a stool in an anonymous, rundown bar. Addressing his com ments to no one in particular, he soliloquises about 'the King'. Simply put, he asserts, in Jailhouse Rock (19 5 7), Elvis embodied everything that rocka billy is about. 'I mean', he states, 'he is rockabilly. Mean, surly, nasty, rude. In that movie he couldn't give a fuck about nothin' except rockin' and rollin' and livin' fast and dyin' young and leavin' a good lookin' corpse, you know.' As he continues, Clarence's admiration for Elvis transcends mere identification with the performer's public image. He adds, 'Man, Elvis looked good. Yeah, I ain't no fag, but Elvis, he was prettier than most women, most women.' He now acknowledges the presence on the barstool next to him of a blank-faced, blonde young woman. Unconcerned that his overheard thoughts might have disturbed her, he continues, 'I always said if I had to fuck a guy - had to if my life depended on it - I'd 137 DAVID SANJEK THE WILD,~ WOMEN OF ROCK~BILLY fuck Elvis.' The woman concurs with his desire to copulate with 'the and Roll; rockabilly, he writes, 'suggested a young white man celebrating King', but adds, 'Well, when he was alive, not now.' freedom, ready to do anything, go anywhere, pausing long enough for In the heyday of rockabilly, one imagines more than a few young men apologies and recriminations, but then hustling on towards the new'.

Lloyd Price Jack Scott The Ronettes Germany’s Rockin’ Waterfront Blues Rockabilly Ball L.A.’s Rockin’ & More! Photo: Gaby Maag-Bristol for the Rockats back in earlier days of ways! I’m not sure if steel guitarist Tommy fill up any dance floor “ You Ask Me To” the revival, they were an inspiration for Auldridge is an offspring of my favorite and “Heartaches By The Number”. The Brian Setzer, who thought about joining dobro player Mike Auldridge, but it’s a nod to Jack Scott comes as a fine cover before he started the Stray Cats! So decent guess. Fiddler Mike Heath and of the dangerous “The Way I Walk” before we’re talkin’ about a guy who’s had a electric guitarist Chick Hall, Jr. also need he launches into the tough as nails fast significant historical impact on Rockabilly mentioning for the perfection they’ve stroll “Please Give Me Something” - wild! music’s revival! Don Rich’s “I’m Layin’ It heaped on these tracks like the best local “Double Agent” is another early ‘60s style On The Line” gives a Honky Tonk twist blueberry honey. This CD sounds like one instrumental. “The Hurt In My Heart” has to the set too, and Bob Butfoy’s “The Hank Williams might have made if he lived sexy early Conway Twitty qualities (the Man Who Counts” is in a Johnny Cash & 2 or 3 years longer! I’m really glad I pulled growl!) but Bradychok puts his own stamp The Tennessee Two style.

  • “Amarillo by Morning” the Life and Songs of Terry Stafford 1
In the early months of 1964, on their inaugural tour of North America, the Beatles seemed to be everywhere: appearing on The Ed Sullivan Show, making the front cover of Newsweek, and playing for fanatical crowds at sold out concerts in Washington, D.C. and New York City. On Billboard magazine’s April 4, 1964, Hot 100 2 list, the “Fab Four” held the top five positions. 28 One notch down at Number 6 was “Suspicion,” 29 by a virtually unknown singer from Amarillo, Texas, named Terry Stafford. The following week “Suspicion” – a song that sounded suspiciously like Elvis Presley using an alias – moved up to Number 3, wedged in between the Beatles’ “Twist and Shout” and “She Loves You.”3 The saga of how a Texas boy met the British Invasion head-on, achieving almost overnight success and a Top-10 hit, is one of triumph and “Amarillo By Morning” disappointment, a reminder of the vagaries The Life and Songs of Terry Stafford 1 that are a fact of life when pursuing a career in Joe W. Specht music. It is also the story of Stafford’s continuing development as a gifted songwriter, a fact too often overlooked when assessing his career. Terry Stafford publicity photo circa 1964.
