Service animals are permitted in most locations at Morey’s Piers. Service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. If a service animal is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it, the handler may be asked to remove the animal from the premises. 1 of 28 V8 SERVICE ANIMALS (Continued) Associates are not permitted to handle service animals. Service animals are welcome in all of our restaurant and merchandise locations, attraction queues, water parks, and most other locations. Some attractions are capable of allowing Guests to remain in a standard wheelchair for all or part of the attraction experience. Morey’s Piers associates are not permitted to lift or transfer Guests from wheelchairs or ECVs. Please note that most of our attractions have posted physical requirements. Additionally, most of our ride area gates are locked with magnetic latches. Some rides may use magnets of greater power and intensity than others. Those rides include AtmosFEAR, the Great Nor’Easter, Runaway Tram, Rollie’s Coaster, the Sea Serpent, and the Spring Shot. Guests using medical devices that are sensitive to magnetic fields should consult with their physician and the medical device’s manufacturer before deciding to ride any attraction. The Great Nor’Easter uses both handheld and walk-through metal detectors to assist in the screening of riders for loose articles. Please see an associate at the entrance of the ride for assistance if exposure to these devices cause concern. NOISE REDUCING HEADPHONES Due to the high dynamic forces of some attractions, Guests wearing large noise reducing headphones, that cover the entire ear, may not be permitted to ride while wearing the device. Those rides include the Zoom Phloom, “it”, RipTide, as well as all Roller Coasters and Extreme Rides. HEARING AIDS AND COCHLEAR IMPLANT SOUND PROCESSORS Hearing Aids and Cochlear Implants, while permitted on all rides and attractions, should be brought on rides at the discretion of the rider or rider’s guardian. Morey’s Piers cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged items due to the dynamic forces of its rides.

  • Park Accessibility Guide ELITCH GARDENS PARK ACCESSIBILITY GUIDE
Park Accessibility Guide ELITCH GARDENS PARK ACCESSIBILITY GUIDE WELCOME TO ELITCH GARDENS We’re glad you’re here! This guide provides an overview of services and facilities available for Guests with disabilities who are visiting Elitch Gardens. We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all Guests. This guide is intended to supplement the Elitch Gardens Park Map and Guide, which contains additional park information and an entertainment schedule. This guide also lists all of the rides, shows, and Guest assistance areas and includes symbols that will help you find these areas on the park map. Many theme park rides incorporate safety systems designed by the manufacturer to accommodate people of average physical stature and body proportion. These systems may place restrictions on the ability of an individual to safely experience the ride. Guests of exceptional proportions, Guests who have or have had health concerns with their heart, back or neck, expectant mothers, people who have had recent surgery, people with casts, braces, or restrictive devices, may not be safely accommodated by these systems. For example, height requirements are based on the size needed for restraint devices to function properly and the level of developmental maturity usually associated with a certain height. Elitch Garden’s Ride Admission Policy has been developed based on the recommendations of the manufacturer, our past experience and our evaluation of each ride using our knowledge of the ride in both normal and emergency operating conditions. Our prime consideration is the ability of each person to endure the dynamics of a ride without risk of injury to that person or other riders.

Our team is proud to lead the 2019 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta media relations team. 2019 MEDIA GUIDE WELCOME On Behalf of the Board of Directors, staff and hundreds of Navigators (volunteers), welcome to the 2019 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Presented by Canon. As a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, I have had the great fortune to grow up around our great annual celebrations, starting with the one that started it all in 1972, when I was not yet quite old enough to walk on my own. It is a true honor to work with our wonderful community to ensure Balloon Fiesta will launch (and land!) for future generations to enjoy it as much as I have. The Balloon Fiesta could not operate without the support of our thousands of Navigators who selflessly volunteer countless hours throughout the year to ensure the continued success of our event. Thank you also to our corporate sponsors for their financial support that allows us to put on a world-class event while always striving to improve our guest experience. We are also fortunate to have neighbors who continue to work with us to improve the relationship between Balloon Fiesta and our local community.
