AWARDS AND RECOGNITION Ernest A. Codman Award – In 2004 and again in 2008, The Joint Commission awarded Novant Health the prestigious Ernest A. Codman Award. The 2004 award honored Novant's work to reduce medical complications in patients taking blood thinning medications, while the 2008 award recognized efforts to reduce MRSA through a successful hand hygiene compliance initiative.
PRC President's Award – Novant Health received the 2011 President's Award from Professional Research Consultants for its success in permeating a customer-focused culture of service excellence throughout the organization.
VHA President's Award – Novant Health was awarded the 2009 President's Award by VHA for achieving clinical excellence and outstanding supply chain management.
