Our current brands are loved by thousands of students around the UK. The loyalty we inspire from client and customer alike is testament to our continual commitment to raising the bar for what students can expect on a night out. The Proposal: What can we offer Student Unions?

• Rough Hill are extremely aware of how important University Unions are in addressing the student body and are keen to build an honest and reliable relationship with your Union.

• We are resolute in our belief that Rough Hill and University Unions can work in partnership to produce mutually beneficial results.

• By building up a strong relationship we can ensure that our events do not conflict with your commercial activities and instead actually help you achieve your financial objectives.

Specifically, Rough Hill can:

- Drive extra sources of revenue. - Grow bar revenue at your Union. - Increase the number of reasons why students would go to your Union. - Raise the profile of the Union entertainment department.

Specifically how would a partnership work?

Rough Hill would like to propose a 2) We set up your Union as a strategic partner in one of Rough Hill’s market leading student club nights that few ideas with the view to working in does not clash with Union based events. conjunction with your Union:

1) We work in partnership to promote one-off events This would involve setting up the Union as an official at key points in the student calendar (Freshers week, feeder for the event: end of term etc).

• We are particularly keen to get an existing Rough Hill • This would mean that the bar would become event as part of the official Freshers week the official pre-party destination thereby driving entertainment plan. increased bar revenues. We have done this very successfully all over the country by bussing students directly from halls of residence to feeder bars • Rough Hill would provide all financial input and and then on to a club-night. Rough Hill can organise give the Union the lion share of the revenue in additional entertainment at feeder bars such as a return for giving us the chance of building a Rough Hill professional DJ. stronger relationship with your students. This would equate to thousands of pounds of additional revenue with no financial risk. • The Union bar and/or other retail outlets would become an official ticket outlet for the club-night. This will drive footfall at the Union.

• This arrangement will set up a new, risk free revenue stream for the Union. We are happy to agree a commission based scheme whereby the Union takes a cut of all tickets sold through its outlets. We are also happy to discuss a revenue split on all door revenues at the event depending on how involved the Union is in the day-to-day promotion of the event.

• Input from Unions is more than welcome in all aspects. What are we looking for from Unions?

Rough Hill are keen to build affiliations with University Unions • Use of University and Union poster sites. so that we draw on the power of the Union to introduce students to the Rough Hill brand and associated initiatives. • Ability to distribute marketing material and carry We want to do this in a way that respects Union concerns by out data capture on campus. protecting Union revenues and promoting all initiatives in a socially responsible manner. • Advertising in Union publications and other media platforms at the Union’s disposal e.g. SUB In short Rough Hill would like to achieve: TV, union website.

- We want to to stop this problem by setting up a not for profit publication that provides students with really useful content, is distributed safely in conjunction with the halls and gives the external companies a cost effective alternative to flyering and postering. All advertising revenues will be invested back into University causes. Conclusion:
