Grammy Salute To Classical Music brings together artists from across a spectrum of genres along with young musicians from the Lang Lang International Music Foundation to celebrate the legacy of the legendary composer and conductor. The afternoon is hosted by noted pianist Lang Lang and features performances by Renée Fleming, Pablo Sáinz Villegas, and other special guests. ABOUT PABLO SÁINZ VILLEGAS Born in La Rioja in Northern Spain, Sáinz Villegas was inspired to take guitar lessons at age six and gave his first public performance at just seven years old. He went on to graduate at the top of his class at every school and university that he attended. Over the years, he accomplished an impressive collection of over 30 international awards, including the Segovia award which he won at age 15 and the coveted Gold Medal at the Inaugural Parkening International Guitar Competition. He received his Doctorate at the Manhattan School of Music. He currently lives in New York City.
