Appendix D New Zealand conservation status and International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) ‘Red List’ threat classification of seabirds mentioned in the report and additionally in Paragraphs 12, 23 and 24 of my evidence. New Zealand conservation status is taken from Robertson et al. (2013), and ‘Red List’ classification from http://www.iucnredlist.org/, where further information regarding categories and criteria employed by the two systems can be found. Taxa marked * were referred to in general, non-specific terms in the report (for example, northern royal albatross here was referred to as ‘unidentified royal albatross’ in the report), but are included here as species for completeness. Taxa are listed in the order they appear in the report, then in the order they appear in Paragraphs 12, 23 and 24 of my evidence.
