Ces services sont généralement édités par d’autres personnes que le distribu- teur, mais ces deux fonctions se confondent de plus en plus, bous- culant la chaîne de valeur traditionnelle. Le distributeur de services joue un rôle fondamental dans l’accès du public à l’offre de SMA. Le distributeur est aussi un vecteur in- contournable pour un nombre croissant d’éditeurs. En pratique, la Dominique Vosters distribution de SMA constitue autant un enjeu démocratique et Président du Conseil supérieur culturel qu’un enjeu économique. Ceci justifie pleinement la régu- de l’audiovisuel lation de ce secteur dans un cadre fixé par les législateurs belges et européen. Tuning Into a Radio Station
Details on AM/FM reception Tuning into a Radio Station Tuning automatically 1. Press Tuner on the main unit several times to select either "AM" or "FM". 2. Press Tuning Mode so that the "AUTO" indicator on the display lights. 3. Press Tuning to start automatic tuning. Searching automatically stops when a station is found. When tuned into a radio station, the " TUNED " indicator on the display lights. When tuned into an FM radio station, the "FM STEREO" indicator lights. No sound is output while the " TUNED " indicator is off. When the signal from an FM radio station is weak: Radio wave may be weak depending on the building structure and environmental conditions. In that case, perform the manual tuning procedure as explained in the next section, "Tuning manually", to manually select the desired station. Tuning manually 1. Press Tuner on the main unit several times to select either "AM" or "FM". 2. Press Tuning Mode so that the "AUTO" indicator on the display goes off. 3. Press Tuning to select the desired radio station. The frequency changes by 1 step each time you press the button. The frequency changes continuously if the button is held down and stops when the button is released. Tune by looking at the display. To return to automatic tuning: Press Tuning Mode on the main unit again. The unit automatically tunes into a radio station. Normally "AUTO" should be displayed. Tuning to the frequency directly It allows you to directly enter the frequency of the radio station you want to listen to. 1. Press Tuner on the remote controller several times to select either "AM" or "FM". -

SUMMARY THE BART VANHAELEWYN, TOM EVENS AND LIEVEN DE MAREZ IN ASSOCIATION WITH KOEN VERVOORT, GREET PAUWELS, WENDY VAN DEN BROECK, NETFLIX DAVID GEERTS AND ELS VANDENBULCKE REPORT SUMMARY At the kickoff in September 2014, Netflix could count on a substantial adoption potential in Flanders (a quarter of the Flemish internet population aged 18+). Six months later, we see a significant conversion from potential to actual adoption. The majority of the highly interested profiles, the potential Innovators and Early Adopters, have registered for a trial account. But it did not automatically lead towards permanent adoption. A substantial number of early adopters did not opt for a paid account after the free trial period. Additionally, a minority of the users who continued with a paid subscription have already terminated their accounts within the first six months. Possible causes for this discrepancy can be attributed to the countermoves from broadcasters and distributors, and a (partial) failure by Netflix to meet the user expectations1. Focusing on the actual adopters, two groups emerge: the Online Media Masters segment, and – less expected – the segment of Media Omnivore families with children2. For both segments, the offered content and ease of use are considered to be the most important agents, but the underlying reasons are not the same. For the Online Media Masters, their main motivation in trying out Netflix is the offered SUMMARY content with the ease of use proving to be just as important. They find Netflix easier than illegal streaming or downloading pirated content. -
