Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery is & Scientific Sessions! transforming the way that patients everywhere receive and experience health care. We have a stellar lineup of plenary speakers and educational sessions arranged around the theme of “Extending Our Reach.” The meeting will feature inspiring presenters providing concrete ways to expand the impact of behavioral medicine to policymakers, government agencies, community organizations, journalists, healthcare practitioners, industry partners, and other sectors interested in better health through behavior change. Our goal is to connect our members with influencers who are experts in communicating about science, impacting policymakers, and informing the public. We hope that you will leave more prepared and inspired to enhance the impact of your work beyond behavioral medicine. New Orleans is a fitting location to reflect on the new partnerships and connections that need to be made to enhance the impact and reach of our work. Building off the success of last year’s meeting, this meeting is also an active conference, and we hope you’ll join us in attending morning yoga, standing during sessions, taking the stairs, and walking around to explore this vibrant city. We’ve also made it easy for you to eat healthy. Lunch will be available for purchase at the hotel’s restaurants and other walking-distance food outlets that we’ve identified nearby. We also invite you to come to the Meeting Kickoff on Wednesday evening, which will include comments by LaToya Cantrell, the first female mayor for the City of New Orleans. And we strongly encourage you to stay through Saturday to hear our closing keynotes and master Visit Mayo Clinic’s booth at the lectures, and the exciting science of your fellow colleagues.
