But her father, Ben, never talked about his past. He was busy building a business, raising his children and trying to be a like every other normal family. As Kastle went through a rebellious phase of punk rock, shaved her head into a Mohawk and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in journalism, she unknowingly touched a nerve of her father’s deepest fears of persecution and separation anxiety. It wasn’t until she reached her 30s that she began to turn her investigative skills on herself and her father to understand some of the emotions they carried with them and uncover what happened to him during his childhood in the dark days of Berlin and the Holocaust. The documentary “Berlin Calling” follows Kastle on a journey of discovery, through five cities – Berlin, Prague, Paris, Los Angeles and Houston. We see Kastle open the paperwork the Nazis kept on her family and hear her father’s firsthand account of being a child under Hitler’s oppression of the Jews and his time in a concentration camp. In her research, Kastle also makes a surprising discovery - the fate of a family member who disappeared in the early days of persecution.

Sunday night’s concert at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre was billed as “Il Divo and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra,” but what the audience heard over the sound system was not the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Instead, it heard prerecorded audio tracks by an entirely different orchestra. The Il Divo singers were live, but the orchestra was relegated to the role of visual window dressing. According to sources, the musicians were informed at the beginning of a three-hour rehearsal in the afternoon that another orchestra’s audio tracks would be heard by the audience. The tracks included instruments that were not present on stage, such as a synthesized bass guitar. Tencent will also leverage its popular gaming, mobile and social platforms (such as China’s leading social media service QQ that has more than 820 million monthly active uers) as well as its distribution capabilities to promote both Sony Music’s highly talented local and international artists and their music in mainland China. From a broader marketing perspective, Sony Music will continue to market its artists across a multitude of on-ground, online and other media platforms to connect with music fans right across the country with the aim to enhance the consumer experience and access to music and artists information.
