Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Aaron N. Aquino said the operation also resulted in the arrest of suspects identified as Joshua Ramon Jimenez y Prats, 34 years old and Sarah Margarita Dominguez y Panganiban, 24, both maintainers of a manufacturing facility for Kush and considered high-value targets. At around 8:30 pm, joint elements of PDEA Regional Office III (PDEA RO III) under the supervision of Director Gil Pabilona, PDEA Regional Office National Capital Region (PDEA RO NCR) under the supervision of Director Joel Plaza, and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Office (DAPCO) Muntinlupa City conducted a buy-bust operation in 437 Agoncillo Street, Ayala Alabang Village, Muntinlupa City resulting in the seizure of more or less six kilos of Kush with an estimated value of Php7.2 million, various drug paraphernalia and the arrest of the suspects. Kush is a variety of hybrid marijuana that originated in South Asian countries and also cultivated in Afghanistan, India, and Pakistan. Unlike the common cannabis plants grown in the country, kush is a dwarf type of marijuana plant, making it more untraceable to authorities. In the Philippines, it is found in Kalinga and Sagada. Jimenez and Dominguez will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Illegal Drugs), Section 6 (Maintenance of a Drug Den), Section 8 (Manufacture of Dangerous Drugs), Section 11 (Possession of Illegal Drugs), Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia) Section 15 (Use of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 26 b (Attempt/Conspiracy in the Sale of Illegal Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. # # # .
