ROBERTO AMOROSI APPOINTED TECHNICAL DIRECTOR OF THE SCUDERIA CORSA 2013 FERRARI CHALLENGE TEAM Beverly Hills, CA - December 3, 2012. Scuderia Corsa team principal Giacomo Mattioli has announced the appointment of Roberto Amorosi as Technical Director of the Scuderia Corsa Ferrari Challenge team. Mattioli, who founded the Scuderia Corsa racinG team in 2011, made the announcement today from Valencia, Spain where the Ferrari Challenge World Finals were held over the weeKend. In announcinG the appointment of Roberto Amorosi, Mattioli said, “Roberto has just finished an incredible weeKend of racinG, becominG the first ever engineer in Ferrari Challenge history to win the World Finals in both the Pirelli and Shell championships. He has over twenty years of experience as a successful race enGineer and I am confident he is the riGht person to help our team compete for the championship in 2013.” A veteran of Ferrari racing competition, the Italian born Amorosi, who currently lives in Los Angeles, helped his team win the Ferrari Challenge World Championship in 2002. Of his double victory this past weekend at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, Spain, Amorosi said “it is a very satisfyinG victory when you consider how hard our drivers fouGht to win. But from today my first priority will be Scuderia Corsa where I will put all my enerGy and effort. It will be a year full of commitments startinG with testinG for Daytona in early January. We have put toGether a fantastic team and I looK forward to a successful 2013 racinG season.” Amorosi’s efforts will focus on Getting the newly minted 2012 Ferrari Challenge world champion, Alessandro Balzan and the #63 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 458 Italia ready for the full 2013 Grand AM season. The first race will be the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona January 26-27, 2013.
