Matt Grant (Russell Page): “…when I’m dancing, and… when I’m with you, it’s real, and I can never give that up.” Claire Andrews (Rebecca Yates): “What about your girlfriend?” Matt (smiling wistfully): “My ex-girlfriend is…going to make some lawyer very happy one day.” Claire (as he leans in closer for a kiss): “Really?” Matt: “Absolutely!” They kiss tenderly, deeply, and the camera cranes up high to reveal them against the CBD skyline. The camera tilts off the CBD up into the sky as a song begins, Merrill Bainbridge performing Between the Days. It runs over the end roller: I’d say I love you but my words are spent I lost them in the heat of argument And the consequence falls around me like rain I dream and see you floating overhead I let my passion fly furious red Out to meet you Again and again And I, I, Feel your touch in the night With me, my lover lays between the days So no matter what the day will bring I have the spaces in between To touch and taste, enjoy my dreams I know it’s true, or so it seems You paint the pictures in my dreams My lover lays between the days And I, I, Feel your touch in the night With me, my lover lays between the days I … I feel your touch in the night With me, my lover lays between the days I built an empire Custom made for me In the moments between two and three That’s where you’ll be Now I feel your touch in the night With me, my lover lays between the days I, I feel your touch in the night With me, my lover lays between the days I, I feel your touch in the night I, I feel your touch in the night With me, my lover lays between the days I’d say I love you but my words are spent I lost them in the heat of argument And the consequence falls around me like rain (Short instrumental as the song fades down over the final copyright notice title) Composer Nerida Tyson-Chew: Brief CV of Nerida Tyson-Chew as found at Australian Music Centre here: Nerida Tyson-Chew is an award-winning and celebrated Australian film composer, orchestrator and conductor who has written scores for both television and film.
