New investigations of freshwater habitats in mountainous regions and caves revealed six new species of the Rissooidea in Bulgaria. The new species are described here and photos of the holotypes are provided. In addition we added photos of the type localities. An identification key of the genera of the Rissooidea of Bulgaria gives an overview of the diversity of this group. The following species are described as new: Strandzhia bythinellopenia sp. n., gen. n., Grossuana slavyanica n. sp., G. derventica n. sp., Radomaniola strandzhica n. sp., Bythiospeum devetakium n. sp., Bythinella rilaensis n. sp. Radoman (1983) reported representatives of Grossuana from Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria and Greece but they do not occur in Asian Turkey (Yıldırım 1999). The first record of Grossuana from FYROM has been reported by Boeters et al. (2017) as G. maceradica. A travers un échantillonnage sur 47 localités en région Haute-Normandie, nous fournissons dans cet article de nouvelles données concernant sa distribution. Onze stations ont révélé des populations, toutes étant situées dans le bassin inférieur de la Seine presque à son embouchure. Les aires d'occupation et d'occurrence de l'espèce sont respectivement estimées à environ 10 000 m2 et 500 km2. L'approche morphométrique, menée sur 108 individus provenant de quatre populations attribuées à B. lancelevei et d'une population de B. viridis, montre qu'il existe des différences significatives entre ces deux espèces nominales. Cependant les descripteurs spécifiques de B. lancelevei, comme la forme de l'ouverture ou du bord des tours, sont aussi applicables à B. viridis. Nos résultats ne permettent donc pas d’infirmer la validité de cette espèce nominale, laquelle doit-être maintenue valide jusqu'à preuve du contraire.

In the present paper the shell, operculum, soft part pigmentation, protoconch SEM microsculpture, female reproductive organs, and penis of H. klecakiana from the spring Studenci, N of Kučiće, in the valley of the Cetina River, Croatia, are described, to confirm the identity of the studied specimens with this species. Mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) and nuclear 18S ribosomal RNA gene sequences are used to infer phylogenetic relationships of Horatia, especially with Radomaniola and the sequence of Horatia from GenBank. The results suggest close relationships of the genus with Sadleriana, not with Radomaniola. Early ontogeny and palaeoecology of the Mid−Miocene rissoid gastropods of the Central Paratethys. Acta Palaeontologica Polonica 49 (1): 111–134. Twenty−six species of Rissoidae (Caenogastropoda: Littorinimorpha: Rissooidea) are described from the Badenian and Early Sarmatian of 14 localities in Austria and the Czech Republic (Molasse Basin, Styrian Basin, Vienna Basin) and from the Badenian of Coştei (Romania). For the first time, the early ontogenetic skeletal characters of these gastropods are de− scribed. Based on these features an indirect larval development with a planktotrophic veliger could be reconstructed for all investigated Mid−Miocene species. The status of Mohrensterniinae as a subfamily of the Rissoidae is confirmed by the mor− phology of the low conical protoconch, consisting of a fine spirally sculptured embryonic shell and a larval shell which is smooth except for growth lines. Transitions from embryonic shells to larval shells and from larval shells to teleoconchs are slightly thickened and indistinct. Whilst representatives of the subfamily Rissoinae characterise the marine Badenian assem− blages, Mohrensterniinae predominate the Early Sarmatian faunas. We hypothesize that this take−over by the Mohren− sterniinae was triggered by changes in the water chemistry towards polyhaline conditions. Consequently, the shift towards hypersaline conditions in the Late Sarmatian is mirrored by the abrupt decline of the subfamily. Four new species Rissoa costeiensis (Rissoinae) from the Badenian and Mohrensternia hollabrunnensis, Mohrensternia pfaffstaettensis,and Mohrensternia waldhofensis (Mohrensterniinae) from the Early Sarmatian are introduced.

Macedonia only two Bythinella species are known so far: Bythinella drimica drimica Radoman, 1976 and Bythinella melovskii Glöer & Slavevska-Stamenković, 2015, both of which occur at the border to Albania, north of Lake Ohrid (Radoman 1983, Glöer & Slavevska-Stamenković 2015). In the other mountainous surrounding countries many more Bythinella species are known: from Croatia to Montenegro and Serbia 12 Bythinella spp. (Glöer & Pešić 2014), from Montenegro three species (Glöer & Pešić 2010), and from Bulgaria 21 species (Glöer & Pešić 2006, Georgiev & Glöer 2013, 2014, Georgiev & Hubenov 2013). This indicates that the freshwater molluscs in the abundant springs of R. Macedonia are not well investigated. Only the ancient Lakes Ohrid and Prespa and some springs in their vicinity as Sveti Naum with many endemic species have been in the focus of many malacologists.
