Erection of 132/33 KV Sub-Station at Koutala (V) in Koutala (M) of Komaram Bheem Asifabad District
TRANSMISSION CORPORATION OF TELANGANA LIMITED Sub: Erection of 132/33 KV Sub-Station at Koutala (V) in Koutala (M) of Komaram Bheem Asifabad District. – Administrative approval– Accorded T.O.O (CE-Construction) Ms.No. 981 Dated: 22.02.2021. Read the following O R D E R The Chief Engineer, Karimnagar Zone has proposed for erection of 132/33 KV Sub-Station at Koutala in Komaram Bheem Asifabad District as per the instructions of the Chairman & Managing Director/TSNPDCL/Warangal in review meeting held on 09-07-2019 FN. The chief General Manager (Projects)/TSNPDCL has also furnished the proposal for 132/33KV Sub-station along with authenticated load data and justification for reliable power supply to consumers and Lift irrigation schemes. Further, the Superintending Engineer/Operation/TSNPDCL has stated that the existing 33KV feeders are very lengthy and causing more interruptions. The duration of interruption is more due to no alternate source to the feeders. The construction of 33KV interlinking lines were held up due to objection of forest department. The low voltage problems are arising in the 33KV feeders connected to lift irrigation schemes. To avoid power interruption and to give better supply to the area, it is very much essential to shorten the 33KV lines by erecting new 132/33KV Sub-station at Koutala. 2. In view of the above circumstances, the 132/33 KV substation at Koutala is necessitated for providing reliable power supply to the consumers & Lift Irrigation schemes and to avoid the low voltage problems & frequent interruptions in the scheme area. 3. After careful consideration, TSTRANSCO accords administrative approval for the above scheme at a total cost of Rs.5655.58 Lakhs considering latest approved material / equipment rates with 10% of price escalation & GST @ 18% as per the break up detailed below. -
Bhadradri Kothagudem on a Mission to Build a Plastic Free Society
Bhadradri Kothagudem on a mission to build a plastic free society With a view to building a plastic free district and protecting its people from pollution and related health issues, the district administration of Bhadradri Kothagudem in Telangana, has commenced various activities to build awareness and curb use of plastics with support of the village community. Commenting on their initiatives, Sri Rajat Kumar Saini, District Collector (DC), said it was vital to make environmental protection a part of people’s life values. All the ancient cultures grew up worshiping nature and it was customary to plant five trees before cutting down a tree in our country. In a country where rivers are considered mothers and the earth a goddess, the tradition of respecting and worshiping nature should be practiced in modern society, he added. SUP ban notification: On 5th September, 2019, the DC and the DRDA Chairman jointly issued a ban on single use plastics (SUPs) and inaugurated a programme to produce cloth bags as alternatives to plastic. The also instructed all government offices to create awareness about the SUP ban among the public. SHS 2019: As a part of Swachhata Hi Seva, 2019, the village communities were mobilised to take up shramdaan to collect plastic and curb SUPs. SUPs often referred to as disposable plastic (use and throw items) are commonly used for plastic packaging and include items intended to be used only once, before they are thrown away or recycled. These products include plastic carry bags, plastic cutlery including plates, cups, straws and decorative items made of Styrofoam or thermocol. -
