The Morrisby Profile has established itself as one of the most useful psychometric tests for those of you thinking about post 16, 18 choices, university courses and careers.

It is a series of tests assessing your logic, verbal, non verbal and numerical reasoning, spatial awareness and mechanical aptitude. It also examines personality including awareness, flexibility, commitment, leadership and initiative.

Verbal Reasoning (Parts 1 & 2) ▪ Measures the ability to use words. Does not directly measure knowledge of English, but designed to identify potential for dealing with verbal information. Useful for occupations where the written or spoken word is needed.

Numerical Reasoning (Parts 1 & 2) ▪ Measures the ability to use numbers. NB. Not a measure of mathematical ability – instead designed to highlight a comfort or intuitive insight when using numbers or data. Useful for commercial & quantitative occupations.

Abstract Reasoning (Parts 1 & 2) ▪ Measures the ability to deal with complex problems. Can also indicate a preference for dealing with real things and visual information such as charts, diagrams and pictures. May also be useful for mathematical and scientific research.
