Wilson Habitat Houses of Hope features silent auction, award presentation and guest speaker Register Now!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. [April 2, 2013] The Wilson Division of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville’s first Houses of Hope fundraising luncheon slated for noon, April 10 at the College Hills Church of Christ, will feature a silent auction and guest speaker Mike Keith, “The Voice of Titans.” During this event, Habitat will also present its Spirit of Volunteerism Award, the Spirit of Habitat Award, and the Habitat Community Partnership Award.

Among the items featured in the silent auction are: an ultimate fishing tackle box; jewelry from GiGi’s, The Jewelers, and J.A. Designs Ltd.; gift baskets from Lookers Beauty Salon; a Sherman airplane ride; items from Silver Ridge – the Pottery Place; and a Phil Ponder print.

“We have some wonderful items for the silent auction which will benefit the 2013 Women Build partner family Sarah Caves. The silent auction, along with dynamic guest speaker Mike Keith, will make this an exciting event to attend,” said Tory Tredway, Director of Habitat’s Wilson Division.

Sarah is a working mom with five children and a victim of domestic abuse. She has worked hard to heal herself and provide a nurturing environment for her children. With her abuser safely behind bars, Sarah is ready to forge a new future and home for her children.

Guest Speaker Mike Keith is in his 16th season with the . In addition to his play-by-play duties, he hosts Titans Head Coach ’s weekly radio show and serves as host and executive producer of the “Titans All Access” television show. Keith has been named as Tennessee Sportscaster of the Year 10 times since 2000 and has won more than 20 Associated Press state awards as well as two national honors including the Edward R. Murrow Award for excellence in sports reporting. He currently lives in Franklin with his wife and two children.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville – Wilson Division is an ecumenical Christian ministry that provides the life-changing opportunity for people to purchase and own quality, affordable homes. Prior to becoming homeowners, Habitat partner families attend home education classes, work at the build site, and volunteer at Habitat’s retail outlet, the ReStore. Habitat of Wilson County merged with Habitat of Greater Nashville in July of 2012 to serve more families.
