Margaret Busse, Executive Director, Department of Commerce, presented on the matter. The committee asked questions of the presenters. The meeting was opened to public comment. Rep. Norman K. Thurston commented on the issue. Online commenters could not be heard due to room speaker issues. Rosemary Gutierrez, Transcend Together, commented in support of reviewing the licensing process to make it easier to gain licensure. Chair Ferry attempted to connect with the online commenters, but the technology issue persisted. Chair Ferry and Senator Bramble made closing comments. 3 . A Performance Audit of the Division of Consumer Protection 3A - Letter to the Business and Labor Interim Committee Chairs (Source: Office of the Legislative Auditor General) 3B - A Performance Audit of the Division of Consumer Protection (Source: Office of the Legislative Auditor General) Benn Buys, Audit Manager, and Jake Dinsdale, Senior Audit Supervisor, Office of the Legislative Auditor General, presented on the audit performed on the Division of Consumer Protection and the audit's recommendations. The committee asked questions of Benn Buys and Jake Dinsdale. Margaret Busse, Executive Director, Department of Commerce, and Daniel O'Bannon, Director, Division of Consumer Protection, responded to the audit.
