II Safety Requirements All entrants must wear a helmet that satisfies all CCA requirements. Helmets are mandatory at all times. Commissaires and organizers accept no responsibility for the conditions of the competitors’ bicycles before, during and after each event. Bikes and equipment are required to comply with UCI/CCA regulations. III Neutral Mechanic A mechanic is available each day to service bikes. It is your responsibility to ensure that your bike is in safe and proper working order after servicing by the mechanic. IV Team Support For White Rock, there will be neutral mechanic support on the road race route. However, it is your responsibility to supply a wheel identified by your Race Number. At the BC Superweek event, if a rider receives a “borrowed” wheel from the pits or service vehicle, it must be returned immediately after the rider’s race. All wheels can be claimed at the wheel pit or at the stage after each event, except the Tour de White Rock Road Race, where wheels can be picked up at the Museum. We do not accept responsibility for lost or damaged equipment. V Feedings Team Managers are responsible for any garbage that is left in the feed zone. A portable bathroom will be available for riders and volunteers manning the feeding station on the right-hand side of the road up from the feed station. Riders and volunteers who do not use the facilities provided will face the consequences set out by the Race Commissaires. Tour de White Rock Feed zones are located along Magdalen Avenue and will be designated by two red pylons on the right side of the road. Feeding is not permitted in the first 50km of the race, nor the last 20km. Feeding can begin after the fourth lap has been completed; men on laps 5-11 only; women on laps 5-7 only. All riders are asked to co-operate fully with these vehicles, both for race safety and for optimum media coverage of this event. All vehicles are to obey the instructions of the Commissaires and respect the barrages (red flag or paddle). 5 2016 BC Superweek BC SUPERWEEK POST RACE PROCEDURES These steps will be undertaken in a business-like manner and racers will be excused as soon as possible.
