Ms. Cornwell will discuss and sign her just released novel The Bone Bed. This special book signing event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:00pm and the program begins at 7:00pm. Copies of The Bone Bed will be available for purchase and signing at the event. The Bone Bag is Cornwell’s latest crime fiction featuring Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Kay Scarpetta. A woman has vanished while digging a dinosaur bone bed in the remote wilderness of Canada. Somehow, the only evidence has made its way to the inbox of Chief Medical Examiner Kay Scarpetta, over two thousand miles away in Boston. She has no idea why. But as events unfold with alarming speed, Scarpetta begins to suspect that the paleontologist’s disappearance is connected to a series of crimes much closer to home: a gruesome murder, inexplicable tortures, and trace evidence from the last living creatures of the dinosaur age. Barnes and Nobel calls The Bone Bed “a suave mix of thriller, whodunit, and forensics primer.” Following her talk and questions from the audience, Ms. Cornwell will sign copies of The Bone Bed. (In order to get to everyone, she will not be able to personalize books. Only those with a copy of The Bone Bed will be allowed in the signing line, though Ms. Cornwell will sign up to 20 of her earlier books. In addition, Ms. Cornwell is bringing her own photographer to take pictures of each fan getting their book signed. The photos will be uploaded to her Facebook page. We ask that there be no posed photos to ensure that the customers get through the line in a timely fashion. For more information, call 404-865-7109.
