International Israel, Bahrain formally establish diplomatic ties following US brokered deal Israel and Bahrain have formally established diplomatic relations after signing the US brokered deal in Arab country's capital Manama. At a ceremony in Manama, Bahraini and Israeli officials signed eight bilateral agreements, including a joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic, peaceful, and friendly relations. The two countries are now expected to open embassies. Bahrain is now the fourth Arab country in the Middle East - after the UAE, Egypt and Jordan - to recognise Israel. China passes new export law to protect vital tech from US over ‘national security’ concerns China has passed a new law restricting sensitive exports to protect national security, a move that adds to policy tools it could wield against the US as tensions -- especially in technology -- continue to rise. The law, which China's top legislature passed comes into effect on 1 December and allows Beijing to take reciprocal measures against countries that abuse export controls and pose a threat to national security. Technical data related to items covered will also be subject to export controls, according to the published text of the law. Indian and Sri Lankan navies to begin their annual exercise SLINEX The 8th annual joint exercise between Indian and Sri Lankan navies - SLINEX-20 - will begin off Trincomalee coast. The 3-day exercise will continue till 21st of October. The Sri Lanka Navy will be represented by SLN Ships Sayura and Gajabahu led by Rear Admiral Bandara Jayathilaka, the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet, Sri Lanka Navy. Indigenously built ASW corvettes Kamorta and Kiltan under the command of Rear Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet, will represent the Indian Navy.
