Total Central share approved Rs 531.60 crore. Out of this Rs 392.05 crore has been released as part of Central share. Corresponding State share released is Rs 104.41 crore. b) Approvals: Creation of 1 university by the way of upgradation of existing autonomous college, , 26 New Model Degree Colleges, Infrastructure grants to 13 universities and 84 colleges, Creation of 2 New Professional Colleges, and Faculty Improvement grants to 1 university. c) Updated inspection reports are awaited for all the Components for processing release of final instalment of Central grants. recently

Major Issues: a. The state has not been able to withdraw the centre share from the treasury under Faculty Improvement. b. State has not contributed state share under Component 1- Creation of University by way of upgradation of existing Autonomous College till now. The component was approved in 8th PAB dated 02.09.2015, and the first instalment of central share was released vide sanction order dated 21st dec 2017. c. State needs to focus on utilization of PG/MMER grants which are lying unused in RUSA account. State has been released an amount of Rs. 4.29 Cr as PG and MMER grant
