VISIT TO VARIOUS BRIDGE SITES AND FACTORIES AT GERMANY IN CONNECTION WITH BOGIBEEL BRIDGE ACROSS RIVER BRAHAMPUTRA Brief about Bogibeel Bridge • Bogibeel Rail-cum-Road Bridge is fully welded steel truss girder bridge with length of 4.94 km ( 39 X 125m + 2 X 32.75m), it will also be the longest Rail-cum-Road Bridge in India. • It will have Double line BG tracks and Three lanes road at the top deck . • All steel design fabrication is as per Euro Standards. • Superstructure of Bogibeel Bridge is designed by M/s RITES- Ramboll and executed by M/s HCC-DSD-VNR Consortium. • Visit to Bridge sites in Europe is part of training program incorporated in the Contract for better understanding of the intricacies of fabrication and Launching of welded girders. • Railway officials from various Railways, RDSO, Board and IRICEN visited Germany as part of this training program.
