THREE POINT FIELD GOALS Isaiah Hunter made six of eight treys at Hofstra on Feb 7th. DID YOU KNOW Bob Pritchett ('68) who scored 67 points in a game against RPI and and 47in a game against Hampden-Sydney in 1968 currently lives in Grove City, Ohio (outside Columbus). He is Deputy Supervisor for a juvenile correction facility there.

The 207 combined points in the Charlotte game was the most combined points since the 218 combined points in ODU's 113-105 victory at Southern Mississippi on March 1, 1993. It is also the first time ODU has scored 100 or more points since the 103-69 victory over VMI in 1998-99.

In 1994-95, ODU played four top-25 teams. The Monarchs defeated #9 Villanova, 89-81 in triple overtime in the NCAA first round. During the regular season, ODU played at #14 Virginia, and #14 Arizona State and host #1 North Carolina .

This year, the Monarchs have played two teams in the top 25 in #9North Carolina and #13 St. Joseph's. The 21,750 fans at the North Carolina game Saturday, December 6th, was the largest crowd the Monarchs have played before. The previous high was the 19,320 in attendance on Dec. 27, 1986 at UNLV.

Assistant coach Jim Corrigan is in his 17th year as an assistant on the collegiate level, all in the CAA.

Assistant coach Rob Wilkes is the son of legendary Stetson head Coach Glenn Wilkes.

Assistant coach Travis DeCuire played for Taylor at Montana from 1991-94 and earned All-Big Sky honors in 1993 and 1994.

Of the eight Monarchs who have played in the NBA, two were first round draft picks. Chris Gatling (16th overall in 1991 by Golden State) and Cal Bowdler (17th overall in 1999 by Atlanta). Gatling played in the 1997 NBA all-star game. Both are currently playing overseas (Gatling in Russia & Bowdler in Italy).

The nickname of the state of Virginia is the "Old Dominion."

MONARCH RECRUITING ODU signed 6-5 forward Jason Thompson from Chatham Central High School in Bear Creek, NC. The Yadkin Valley Conference Player of the Year as a sophomore and runner-up last year averaged 21.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game last year. He has scored 1,401 career points and hauled in 693 career rebounds. Chatham was 22-5 last year. Thompson has already been named to the North Carolina vs. South Carolina High School All-Star Game.
