Jeffrey Edward Epstein (January 20, 1953 – August 10, 2019) was an American socialite, financier, and convicted sex offender born to Jewish parents. He developed an elite social circle and procured many women and children who were then sexually abused by Epstein and some of his contacts.

In March 2005, a woman contacted Florida's Palm Beach Police Department and alleged that her 14 -year -old stepdaughter had been taken to Epstein's mansion by an older girl. There she was allegedly paid $300 (equivalent to $400 in 2020) to strip and massage Epstein.

Palm Beach Police began a 13-month undercover investigation of Epstein, including a search of his home. During the investigation, Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter publicly accused the Palm Beach County state prosecutor, Barry Krischer , of being too

1 lenient and called for help from the FBI. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) then became involved. Subsequently, the police alleged that Epstein had paid several girls to perform sexual acts with him. The police search of Epstein's home found two hidden cameras and large numbers of photos of girls throughout the house, some of whom the police had interviewed in the course of their investigation. An Epstein assistant, reportedly removed computer drives and other electronic equipment from the financier's Florida mansion before Palm Beach Police searched the home as part of their investigation. In 2005, police uncovered an incriminating Amazon receipt, for books on sex slavery. The books he ordered are titled: " SM 101: A Realistic Introduction ", "SlaveCraft: Roadmaps for Erotic Servitude – Principles, Skills and Tools " and " Training with Miss Abernathy: A Workbook for Erotic Slaves and Their Owners ".

Maria Farmer, an artist who worked for Epstein in 1996, noted that Epstein showed her a media room in the New York mansion where there were individuals monitoring the pinhole cameras throughout the house. The media room was accessed through a hidden door. She stated that in the media room "there were men sitting here. And I looked on the cameras, and I saw toilet, toilet, bed, bed, toilet, bed." She added that "It was very obvious that they were, like, monitoring private moments."

Eventually the FBI compiled reports on "34 confirmed minors" eligible for restitution (increased to 40 in the NPA) whose allegations of sexual abuse by Epstein included corroborating details.

Julie Brown's 2018 exposés in the Miami Herald identified about 80 victims and located about 60 of them. She quotes the then police chief, Michael Reiter, as saying "This was 50-something 'shes' and one 'he'—and the 'shes' all basically told the same story." Details from the investigation included allegations that 12 -year -old triplets were flown in from France for Epstein's birthday, and flown back the following day after being sexually abused by the financier. It was alleged that young girls were recruited from Brazil and other South American countries, former Soviet countries, and Europe, and that Jean-Luc Brunel 's "MC2" modeling agency was also supplying girls to Epstein.

In May 2006, Palm Beach police filed a probable cause affidavit saying that Epstein should be charged with four counts of unlawful sex with minors and one count of sexual abuse. On July 27, 2006, Epstein was arrested by the Palm Beach Police Department on state felony charges of procuring a minor for prostitution and solicitation of a prostitute. He was booked at the Palm Beach County jail and later released on a $3,000 bond.

In July 2006, the FBI began its own investigation of Epstein, nicknamed "Operation Leap Year". It resulted in a 53-page indictment in June 2007. , then the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, agreed to a plea deal, which helped to negotiate, to grant immunity from all federal criminal charges to Epstein, along with four named co-conspirators and any unnamed "potential co-

2 conspirators". According to the Miami Herald , the non-prosecution agreement "essentially shut down an ongoing FBI probe into whether there were more victims and other powerful people who took part in Epstein's sex crimes". At the time, this halted the investigation and sealed the indictment. The Miami Herald said: "Acosta agreed, despite a federal law to the contrary, that the deal would be kept from the victims."

Acosta later said he offered a lenient plea deal because he was told that Epstein "belonged to intelligence", was "above his pay grade" and to "leave it alone". Epstein agreed to plead guilty in Florida state court to two felony prostitution charges, register as a sex offender, and pay restitution to three dozen victims identified by the FBI. The plea deal was later described as a "sweetheart deal".

A federal judge later found that the prosecutors had violated the victims' rights in that they had concealed the agreement from the victims and instead urged them to have "patience".

On June 30, 2008, after Epstein pleaded guilty to a state charge (one of two) of procuring for prostitution a girl below age 18, he was sentenced to 18 months in prison. While most convicted sex offenders in Florida are sent to state prison, Epstein was instead housed in a private wing of the Palm Beach County Stockade and, according to the sheriff's office, was after 3 1⁄2 months allowed to leave the jail on "work release" for up to 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. This contravened the sheriff's own policies requiring a maximum remaining sentence of 10 months and making sex offenders ineligible for the privilege. He was allowed to come and go outside of specified release hours.

After serving his time, a judge confirmed he personally must check in with the New York Police Department every 90 days. Though Epstein had been a level-three (high risk of repeat offense) registered sex offender in New York since 2010, the New York Police Department never enforced the 90-day regulation, though non-compliance is a felony.

Epstein was arrested for the second time on July 6, 2019, on federal charges for the sex trafficking of minors in Florida and New York. He died in his jail cell on August 10, 2019 by apparent suicide by hanging.

Epstein owned a private Boeing 727 jet and traveled in it frequently, logging "600 flying hours a year ... usually with guests on board". The jet was nicknamed the Lolita Express by the locals in the Virgin Islands, because of its frequent arrivals at Little Saint James (an island owned by Epstein) with apparently underage girls.

Epstein was a longtime acquaintance of Prince Andrew and Tom Barrack, and attended parties with many prominent people, including Bill Clinton, George Stephanopoulos, Donald Trump, Katie Couric , Woody Allen , and Harvey Weinstein . His contacts included Rupert Murdoch, Michael Bloomberg , Richard Branson, Michael Jackson, Alec Baldwin 3 and the Kennedys. His contacts also included Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak , British prime minister Tony Blair, and Saudi Arabian crown prince Mohammed bin Salman. Both Clinton and Trump claimed that they never visited Epstein's island.

Previous long-term girlfriends associated with Epstein include Eva Andersson-Dubin and publishing heiress . Epstein was romantically linked to Andersson- Dubin for an 11-year period mostly in the 1980s and the two later remained friendly well after her marriage to .

Ghislaine Noelle Marion Maxwell (born 25 December 1961) is a British socialite known for her association with financier and convicted sex offender . Her father, publishing tycoon Robert Maxwell was from a Jewish family and her mother was of Huguenot descent.

Maxwell had a romantic relationship with Epstein for several years in the early 1990s and remained closely associated with him for decades. The nature of their relationship remains unclear. In a 2009 deposition, several of Epstein's household employees testified that Epstein referred to her as his "main girlfriend" who also hired, fired, and supervised his staff, starting around 1992. She has also been referred to as the "Lady of the House" by Epstein's staff and as his "aggressive assistant". In a 2003 Vanity Fair profile on Epstein, author Vicky Ward said Epstein referred to Maxwell as "my best friend". Ward also observed that Maxwell seemed "to organize much of his life".

She attended the wedding of Chelsea Clinton in 2010.

In 2020, Maxwell was charged by the US federal government with the crimes of enticement of minors and sex trafficking of underage girls. The US Virgin Islands Department of Justice announced on 10 July 2020 that Maxwell was also under investigation in the Caribbean territory.

4 Ghislaine Maxwell was a 'tyrant' with Jeffrey Epstein victims: report

Emma Colton, Andrew Murray 7/17/2021

One of the most outspoken Jeffrey Epstein accusers said Ghislaine Maxwell was a "tyrant" with the convicted sex offender’s reported victims and was still in love with him despite his "obsession" with young girls.

Accuser said Maxwell "could be a tyrant, often glaring at her whenever she became distracted from her ‘work.’ It was clear to Virginia that Maxwell was in love with Epstein. But Epstein and Maxwell rarely slept together or shared intimate moments, like holding hands or kissing," according to excerpts of a new book, " Perversion of Justice: The Jeffrey Epstein Story ," which will be released on Tuesday.

"Virginia said this was because Maxwell was never able to satisfy Epstein’s insatiable appetite for girls. Maxwell came to accept his obsession as long as those encounters remained purely sexual," the excerpt says.

The book was written by Miami Herald investigative reporter Julie K. Brown, who has written extensively on Epstein, and details that Giuffre met Maxwell and Epstein at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago country club in 2000 when she was 16.

Maxwell reportedly approached Giuffre at the country club and asked her if she was a masseuse. Giuffre, using the nickname "Jenna," said she hoped to one day become a masseuse, prompting Maxwell to offer her a job interview to work for Epstein.

"Maxwell suggested that Virginia meet [Epstein] to apply for the job. Virginia was skeptical, pointing out that she didn’t have the proper training. But Maxwell assured her that she could learn on the job, noting that it looked as if Virginia was serious about her vocation—based on all the sticky notes she could see poking out of the anatomy book in her hands. She gave Virginia her address and phone number. ‘Why don’t you come by after work?’ Maxwell left, with a cheery, almost motherly goodbye," an excerpt of the book says.

Giuffre took her up on the opportunity, and met Epstein at his lavish Palm Beach

5 home.

"Maxwell had prepped her, telling her to treat the session as a tryout. ‘If you do well,’ Maxwell told her, ‘then maybe you could become Jeffrey’s traveling masseuse, seeing the world and getting paid well for it.’ In the beginning, it all seemed legitimate. Maxwell showed Virginia some techniques, starting with Epstein’s feet, and then moving to his calves, instructing her to use upward strokes to push the blood up his legs," the book says.

Epstein and Maxwell’s relationship with Giuffre grew, with them reportedly asking questions about her childhood and learned she had been a childhood runaway.

During one interaction, the pair "teased" Giuffre for being "a naughty girl," a label Giuffre denied.

"I’m a good girl. I just was always in the wrong places," Giuffre replied.

"It’s okay," Jeffrey replied, according to the book. "I like naughty girls."

"With that, he flipped over, exposing [himself]. She looked at Maxwell for guidance, but the proper English lady was now topless. She began to undress Virginia … ," the book says.

Maxwell has denied having a sexual relationship with Giuffre, but the accuser says that Maxwell and Epstein shared " a kindred hedonism," with Maxwell facilitating his "obsession" with young girls.

"It was an arrangement whereby she would bring him the girls, and he would give Ghislaine the kind of self-indulgent life that she was accustomed to growing up," Giuffre says in the book.

Maxwell was arrested last July and charged with enticement of minors, sex trafficking of children, and perjury.

A federal court in New York unsealed dozens of documents in her sex trafficking case on Thursday, including documents from a previous defamation lawsuit filed by Giuffre against Maxwell. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/ghislaine-maxwell-was-a-tyrant-with-jeffrey- epstein-victims-report/ar-AAMgchS?ocid=uxbndlbing

6 Leslie Herbert Wexner [4] (born September 8, 1937) is an American billionaire businessman, the founder and chairman emeritus of L Brands (formerly Limited Brands). His parents were both of Russian-Jewish origin. Wexner grew a business empire after starting The Limited, a clothing retailer with a restricted selection of profitable items, and later expanded his holdings to include Victoria's Secret, Abercrombie and Fitch, Express, and Bath & Body Works. Wexner had a very close relationship with Jeffrey Epstein that began in the 1980s and continued until at least 2007.

He was the primary billionaire client of Jeffrey Epstein , a financier that claimed to only work with clients with a net worth of one billion USD or greater. Epstein became Wexner's financial manager in 1987. Wexner purchased the New York property, the Herbert N. Straus House, in 1989 and later transferred it to Epstein in the mid -1990s. In July of 1991, Wexner granted Epstein power of attorney and also instated him as a trustee on the board of the Wexner Foundation.

President George W. Bush appointed Wexner to serve in the Honorary Delegation to accompany him to Jerusalem for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the State of Israel in May 2008.

Wexner hosted a fundraiser in 2012 for Mitt Romney and donated $250,000 to Restore Our Future, Romney's Super PAC. In 2015, Wexner donated $500,000 to the Right to Rise USA Super-Pac that supported the 2016 presidential campaign of Jeb Bush.

The Columbus Dispatch reported on September 14, 2018 that Wexner had renounced his affiliation with the Republican Party.

7 Leon David Black (born July 31, 1951) is an American investor, best known as the co-founder, and former-CEO of private equity firm Apollo Global Management. He is a son of Eli M. Black (1921–1975), a prominent Jewish businessman who emigrated from Poland.

Black stepped down as CEO and chairman in 2021 after revelations that he paid Jeffrey Epstein $158 million for family office tax-related advice over the period from 2012 to 2017.

In 2021, Black admitted to having what he called a "consensual affair" with Guzel Ganieva, a former model. She claimed in a series of March 2021 tweets that "I was sexually harassed and abused by him for years [and ultimately] forced to sign a non - disclosure agreement under duress".

On December 22, 2015, it was reported that Leon Black purchased at auction a complete set of the Daniel Bomberg Babylonian Talmud for $9.3 million. According to a press release from the Sotheby's auction house, the sale is "a new world auction record for any piece of Judaica." Leon Black defamed accuser by claiming she extorted him, suit alleges

By Josh Kosman and Priscilla DeGregoryJune 1, 2021 | 2:04pm

Billionaire Leon Black has been slapped with a defamation lawsuit by a woman who claims he subjected her to a “sadistic,” “sexually violent” relationship over a period of years.

Russian model Guzel Ganieva — who Black has previously claimed was extorting him over a consensual sexual affair — sued him in Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday, 8 alleging he is a “master manipulator” who is only accusing her of extortion to silence her about the true nature of their relationship.

“Threatening that a criminal charge will be brought against Ms. Ganieva first will not save Black from the truth about what he has done,” the suit charged. “The truth will reveal a violent, sadistic side to Black that he has shielded from public view for decades.”

The Jeffrey Epstein-linked former head of Apollo Global Management denied the allegations, repeating claims he previously made to The Post that he has been paying Ganieva money for years under threat that she would expose their six-year consensual affair.

“Ms. Ganieva’s allegations of harassment and other inappropriate behavior are categorically untrue,” Black said in a statement. “This frivolous lawsuit is riddled with lies, and is nothing more than a wholesale fiction.”

“I was sexually harassed and abused by [Black] for years,” Ganieva tweeted.

Black, the outgoing chair of MoMA, had “a wholly consensual relationship with Ms. Ganieva for six years, and then, as we have previously advised the criminal authorities, Mr. Black was subsequently extorted by Ms. Ganieva for many years and made substantial monetary payments to her based on her threats to go public about their relationship and cause him reputational risk and harm to his family,” the statement continued.

But Ganieva says the public nature of their relationship, including watching New York Knick games at Madison Square Garden together, undermines his claims that he was simply afraid of an extramarital affair coming to light.

“For years, Black ate countless meals with Ms. Ganieva in 5-star restaurants, took her to Broadway shows, numerous art shows, museum exhibitions, private parties, the movies, including the premier of The King’s Speech and even sat beside her while he cheered for the New York Knicks at MSG,” the lawsuit alleged. “In the midst of all these very public outings, Black never once worried about sparing his family from public embarrassment.”

Instead, the lawsuit claims, Black was concerned about “being exposed for the sadist that he is,” including details about multiple rapes and other allegedly sadistic behavior that is not lodged in the suit.

For example, the suit depicts an alleged 2014 rape over the long July Fourth weekend that “spared Ms. Ganieva the pain of his usual sadistic rituals” in exchange for a more straightforward rape.

9 Jeffrey Epstein-plagued Leon Black to step down as MoMA chairman

Black stopped by her apartment on East 77th Street on his way home from the Hamptons on Sunday, July 6. She was so sick she was “unable to go to the store or cook for herself,” and her son was away at camp, the court papers claim.

“Although Ms. Ganieva did not buzz him through the building entrance, one of her neighbors must have done so, because suddenly he was knocking at her apartment door. When Ms. Ganieva opened the door, Black barged in, pushing her off to the side.”

“Ms. Ganieva was weak and could barely walk. Disturbingly, when Black realized what a debilitated state she was in, he became happy,” the suit alleged.

“Never a match for his physical size and strength, on this day in particular Ms. Ganieva knew what fate was in store. At over 6’5” and 300 plus pounds, Black had no difficulty dragging Ms. Ganieva into the bedroom and throwing her on her back on the bed. She was limp and unable to move. Despite her begging him to leave, he took off her clothes and his own,” the suit charged.

“Inexplicably, he spared Ms. Ganieva the pain of his usual sadistic rituals and quickly got on top of her and forced his penis into her vagina against her will.”

“Disgustingly, when Black was done, as he stood up and put his clothes back on, he angrily said: ‘Now I have f –ked you,’” before leaving, the court papers claimed.

Black also allegedly tried to get Ganieva to take hush money telling her if she didn’t take the money “I will put you in prison” and “I will destroy your life,” the court documents allege.

Then, on Oct. 18, 2015, when the pair was at the Four Seasons Hotel, Black forced Ganieva to sign a piece of paper and agreed to forgive her loans, the court papers claim.

Ganieva received regular wire transfer payments from an account called “E Trust” until April 2021, according to the suit.

“[I will be paying you] as long as you keep your mouth shut,” the suit alleges Black told her. https://nypost.com/2021/06/01/leon-black-defamed-accuser-with-extortion-claim-suit- alleges/

10 Jean-Luc Brunel (born 1946, real name Jean-Luc Ben Chemoul) is a French model scout and former modeling agency manager. He gained prominence by leading the modelling agency Karin Models, and founded MC2 Model Management, with financing by Jeffrey Epstein , and which had offices in New York, Miami, and Tel Aviv.

He was born into a wealthy family in Paris, France.

The subject of a 60 Minutes investigation in 1988, Brunel has faced allegations of sexual assault spanning three decades. Brunel was considered to be a talented scout who had discovered a number of models who rose to prominence including Christy Turlington, Sharon Stone, and Milla Jovovich.

He founded Karin Models of America in 1995.

After Brunel was included in a BBC MacIntyre Undercover report on abuse within the fashion industry in November 1999, he was banned from his modeling agency in Europe.

In the early 2000s, Brunel moved to the United States.

The Paris office filed to revoke Brunel’s claim to the Karin trademark in 2004, so he

11 changed the name of the agency to MC2.

Brunel met Ghislaine Maxwell in the 1980s and she later introduced him to the financier Jeffrey Epstein . Brunel received funds from Epstein of "up to a million dollars" in 2004 to help launch a new modeling agency: MC2 Model Management. The agency name evokes Epstein through a reference to Einstein's equation for mass energy equivalency or E=mc2. Clients of MC2 reportedly included Nordstrom, Macy's Inc., Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, J.C. Penney Co., Kohl's Corp., Target Corporation, Sears, and Belk.

Virginia Roberts Giuffre, an Epstein accuser, alleged in a 2014 court filing that the system was a cover for sex trafficking.

Giuffre claimed in a 2015 affidavit that Epstein bragged to her that he had “slept with over 1,000 of Brunel ’s girls. ”

In court documents released in August 2019, she named Brunel as one of the men Maxwell had directed her as a teenager to have sex with.

In 2019, it was reported that Brunel helped create The Identity Models in New York and 1Mother Agency in Kyiv, Ukraine.

MC2 was dissolved on September 27, 2019.

From 1998 to 2005, Brunel was listed as a passenger in flight logs for Epstein's private plane on 25 trips. He was also a regular visitor to the jail where Epstein was held in 2008, with at least 70 recorded visits.

On December 16, 2020, Brunel was intercepted by police at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, as he was about to board a flight to Dakar, in Senegal. He was then placed under 'garde à vue' custody for questioning. He is being held in relation to rape, sexual assault, criminal conspiracy and human trafficking, and all the allegations involve minors.

*The fact that Brunel changed his surname from Ben Chemoul , that he had an office in Tel Aviv and is clearly wearing an "Israel Army" hat in the photo above, proves he is Jewish .

12 Glenn Russell Dubin (born April 13, 1957) is a billionaire hedge fund manager and the former Principal of Dubin & Co. LP, a private investment company managing a portfolio of operating businesses and other investments. He is also the co-founder of Highbridge Capital Management, an alternative asset management company based in New York City, and a founding board member of the Robin Hood Foundation.

He was born to a middle-class Jewish family in the Washington Heights section of upper Manhattan.

In August 2019, unsealed documents revealed connections between Dubin and Jeffrey Epstein , including allegations of involvement in his child abuse ring.

In 1994, Dubin married Eva Andersson -Dubin , a Swedish physician and ex -model who once dated Jeffrey Epstein. The couple has three children (two daughters and a son).

He first saw Eva on the New York Post's Page Six in a modeling photo.

Butler who worked for billionaire couple friendly with Jeffrey Epstein says he met 15 -year -old Swedish girl who was pedophile's 'sex slave' while she was 'held hostage on his island'

By ARIEL ZILBER FOR DAILYMAIL.COM PUBLISHED: 21:25 EDT, 9 August 2019 | UPDATED: 11:11 EDT, 13 August 2019

A 15 -year -old Swedish girl was allegedly confined to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s private island and kept there as a sex slave, it has been claimed in newly

13 unsealed court documents.

The horrific allegations were made by a butler who worked for hedge fund billionaire Glenn Dubin and his wife, Eva Andersson -Dubin.

During a 2016 deposition which was revealed publicly for the first time on Friday, the butler, Rinaldo Rizzo, tearfully described seeing a 15-year-old girl in his boss’s kitchen in 2005 .

Rizzo testified in his deposition that the girl was brought to the home by Maxwell and Epstein, who were visiting the Dubins.

Andersson-Dubin, a former Miss Sweden, once dated Epstein.

The butler said that the girl reminded him of other girls he saw at Epstein's home.

Rizzo said the girl sat in a stool next to a kitchen counter in the Dubins' home. She was 'distraught and shaking...literally quivering' as she described her treatment at the hands of Epstein's alleged madam, and her assistant, Sarah Kellen, in the US Virgin Islands.

He claims he told her that they had demanded sex from her and taken away her passport and threatened her when she refused.

Rizzo testified in a deposition which was part of Giuffre's defamation lawsuit brought against Maxwell.

Giuffre also accused Glenn Dubin of participating in the sex -trafficking ring, according to court documents.

Rizzo testified that the teen told him Epstein threatened her to keep quiet about what she knew.

‘The word she used was sex,’ he testified.

As far as the girl’s emotional state was concerned, Rizzo said that she was ‘shaking uncontrollably.’

Rizzo testified that the girl stopped answering questions once she realized that someone was heading toward the kitchen.

It was Eva Andersson -Dubin, according to Rizzo.

‘Eva comes in and tells her that she will be working for Eva in the city,’ Rizzo testified.

‘As a nanny.’

Rizzo testified that he saw the girl about a month later on board a flight with the 14 Dubin family to Sweden.

Power publicist Peggy Siegal compares coverage of her Epstein ties to the Holocaust

By Amanda Woods January 21, 2020 | 4:03pm |

Prominent publicist Peggy Siegal — who got some bad press of her own over her dealings with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein — compared the negative coverage about the pair’s relationship to the Holocaust in an interview this week.

Over the summer, the New York Times published a piece calling Siegal a “social guarantor” for the late, disgraced money manager, saying she had been “using her 15 gate-keeping powers” to usher Epstein into screenings and events.

Those efforts mostly occurred after Epstein got out of the Palm Beach County jail in 2009, after having served 13 months for soliciting prostitution from a minor.

One week after the Times report, The Hollywood Reporter published a piece calling Siegal’s links to Epstein a “symbiotic relationship with a sex offender.”

The PR maven told Vanity Fair in an interview published Monday that she was shaken by the press.

“I’m going, this can’t be happening,” she recalled. “This is what it’d be like to go to your own funeral.

“Or to be a casualty of war,” she told the paper, mentioning her ancestors who died in the Holocaust. “I mean, if I had been in Nazi Germany, it could not have been worse.

“I thought, ‘Oh, my God, I’m on the train station,’ ” she continued. “I’m getting on that train, and I’m going to the camps. And this is exactly what came to mind. This is the kind of political, social, horrific nightmare that came to fruition. … Life has come full circle. I’ve finally been attacked for nothing more than being Jewish or being a woman or being at the wrong place at the wrong time.” https://nypost.com/2020/01/21/power-publicist-peggy-siegal-compares-coverage-of- her-epstein-ties-to-the-holocaust/

Marvin Lee Minsky (August 9, 1927 – January 24, 2016) was an American cognitive and computer scientist concerned largely with research of artificial intelligence (AI), co-founder of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's AI laboratory, and author of several texts concerning AI and philosophy.

Marvin Lee Minsky was born in New York City, to an eye surgeon father, Henry, and to a mother, Fannie (Reiser), who was a Zionist activist. His family was Jewish . Minsky was an atheist.

Minsky was an adviser on Stanley Kubrick's movie 2001: A Space Odyssey ; one of the 16 movie's characters, Victor Kaminski, was named in Minsky's honor.

Minsky received a $100,000 research grant from Jeffrey Epstein in 2002, four years before Epstein's first arrest for sex offenses; it was the first from Epstein to MIT.

Minsky organized two academic symposia on Epstein's private island Little Saint James, one in 2002 and another in 2011, after Epstein was a registered sex offender.

Virginia Giuffre testified in a 2015 deposition in her defamation lawsuit against Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell that Maxwell directed her to have sex with Minsky among others.

AI pioneer accused of having sex with trafficking victim on Jeffrey Epstein’s island Marvin Minsky was named alongside several other prominent men

By Russell Brandom Aug 9, 2019, 4:14pm EDT

A victim of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein testified that she was forced to have sex with MIT professor Marvin Minsky, as revealed in a newly unsealed deposition. Epstein was registered as a sex offender in 2008 as part of a controversial plea deal. More recently, he was arrested on charges of sex trafficking amid a flood of new allegations.

Minsky, who died in 2016, was known as an associate of Epstein, but this is the first direct accusation implicating the AI pioneer in Epstein’s broader sex trafficking network. The deposition also names Prince Andrew of Britain and former New Mexico governor , among others.

The accusation against Minsky was made by Virginia Giuffre, who was deposed in May 2016 as part of a broader defamation suit between her and an Epstein associate named Ghislaine Maxwell. In the deposition, Giuffre says she was directed to have sex with Minsky when he visited Epstein’s compound in the US Virgin Islands.

As part of the defamation suit, Maxwell’s counsel denied the allegations, calling them “salacious and improper.” Representatives for Giuffre and Maxwell did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

A separate witness lent credence to Giuffre’s account, testifying that she and Minsky had taken a private plane from Teterboro to Santa Fe and Palm Beach in March 2001.

17 Epstein, Maxwell, chef Adam Perry Lang, and shipping heir Henry Jarecki were also passengers on the flight, according to the deposition. At the time of the flight, Giuffre was 17; Minsky was 73.

A pivotal member of MIT’s Artificial Intelligence Lab, Marvin Minsky pioneered early self-training algorithms, most notably in his 1969 book Perceptrons. He also developed the first head-mounted display, a precursor to modern VR and augmented reality systems.

Minsky was one of a number of prominent scientists with ties to Jeffrey Epstein, who often called himself a “science philanthropist” and donated to research projects and academic institutions. Many of those scientists were affiliated with Harvard, including physicist Lawrence Krauss, geneticist George Church, and cognitive psychologist Steven Pinker. Minsky’s affiliation with Epstein went particularly deep, including organizing a two-day symposium on artificial intelligence at Epstein’s private island in 2002, as reported by Slate. In 2012, the Jeffrey Epstein Foundation issued a press release touting another conference organized by Minsky on the island in December 2011.

That private island is alleged to have been the site of an immense sex trafficking ring. But Epstein associates have argued that those crimes were not apparent to Epstein’s social relations, despite the presence of young women at many of his gatherings.

“These people were seen not only by me,” Alan Dershowitz argued in a 2015 deposition. “They were seen by Larry Summers, they were seen by [George] Church, they were seen by Marvin Minsky, they were seen by some of the most eminent academics and scholars in the world.”

“There was no hint or suggestion of anything sexual or improper in the presence of these people,” Dershowitz continued. https://www.theverge.com/2019/8/9/20798900/marvin-minsky-jeffrey-epstein-sex- trafficking-island-court-records-unsealed

18 Lawrence Maxwell Krauss (born May 27, 1954) is an American-Canadian theoretical physicist and cosmologist who previously taught at Arizona State University, Yale University, and Case Western Reserve University. He founded ASU's Origins Project, now called ASU Interplanetary Initiative, to investigate fundamental questions about the universe and served as the project's director.

He was born in New York City, but grew up in Toronto. He was raised in a household that was Jewish but not religious. An anti-theist, Krauss seeks to reduce the influence of what he regards as superstition and religious dogma in popular culture.

In 2009, he helped inaugurate this initiative at the Origins Symposium, in which eighty scientists participated and three thousand people attended.

Donors to the Origins Project included a foundation called "Enhanced Education," run by the financier and sex -offender Jeffrey Epstein . In 2011, Krauss defended his association with Epstein, saying “As a scientist I always judge things on empirical evidence and he always has women ages 19 to 23 around him, but I've never seen anything else, so as a scientist, my presumption is that whatever the problems were I would believe him over other people."

He added, “I don ’t feel tarnished in any way by my relationship with Jeffrey; I feel raised by it. ” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/aug/18/private-jets-parties-and- eugenics-jeffrey-epsteins-bizarre-world-of-scientists

In a February 2018 article describing allegations that " range from offensive comments to groping and non -consensual sexual advances", BuzzFeed reported a variety of sexual misconduct claims against Krauss, including two complaints from his years at Case Western Reserve University.

In a public statement, he apologized "to anyone he made feel intimidated or uncomfortable".

Upon investigating allegations about sexual misconduct by Krauss, ASU determined that he had violated university policy and did not renew his Origins Project directorship for a third term in July 2018. Krauss continued as a Professor at ASU until retiring in May 19 2019. He currently serves as President of The Origins Project Foundation and as host of The Origins Podcast with Lawrence Krauss.

He criticized Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson's statements on science, writing that Carson's remarks "suggest he never learned or chooses to ignore basic, well-tested scientific concepts".

With the publication of his newest book, The Physics of Climate Change (2021), Krauss is urging the use of science, and not politics, ideology, or emotion, to steer the public debate on how to address climate change.

Murray Gell-Mann (September 15, 1929 – May 24, 2019) was an American physicist who received the 1969 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work on the theory of elementary particles. He was the Robert Andrews Millikan Professor of Theoretical Physics Emeritus at the California Institute of Technology, a distinguished fellow and one of the co-founders of the Santa Fe Institute, a professor of physics at the University of New Mexico, and the Presidential Professor of Physics and Medicine at the University of Southern California.

Gell-Mann spent several periods at CERN, a nuclear research facility in Switzerland, among others as a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation fellow in 1972.

Gell-Mann was born in lower Manhattan into a family of Jewish immigrants from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, specifically from Chernivtsi (historical name: Czernowitz) in present-day Ukraine.

Gell -Mann attended Epstein's events and thanked Epstein for financial support in his book. - https://www.usatoday.com/picture-gallery/news/nation/2019/08/23/epsteins- network-whos-who-his-circle/2096261001/

20 Alan Morton Dershowitz (born September 1, 1938) is an American lawyer known for his work in U.S. constitutional law and American criminal law. He taught at Harvard Law School from 1964 through 2013, where he was appointed as the Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law in 1993. Dershowitz is a regular media contributor, political commentator, and legal analyst. An ardent supporter of Israel, he has written several books on the Arab–Israeli conflict.

He was born to an Orthodox Jewish couple. His father was a founder and president of the Young Israel of Boro Park Synagogue in the 1960s, served on the board of directors of the Etz Chaim School in Borough Park, and in retirement was co-owner of the Manhattan-based Merit Sales Company.

In 1995, Dershowitz served as the appellate adviser on the O. J. Simpson murder trial, part of the legal "Dream Team", alongside Johnnie Cochran and F. Lee Bailey. Dershowitz was a member of the defense team for Harvey Weinstein in 2018 and for the first impeachment trial of President Donald Trump in 2020.

He was a member of the legal defense team for Jeffrey Epstein and helped to negotiate a 2006 non-prosecution agreement on Epstein's behalf. He was later accused of rape by one of Epstein's underage victims in a sworn affidavit and in the Netflix documentary, Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich , which resulted in a lawsuit and his own counter lawsuit.

Dershowitz had previously befriended Epstein through their mutual acquaintance Lynn Forester de Rothschild .

The first investigation into Epstein concluded with a controversial non-prosecution agreement which Dershowitz helped negotiate on Epstein's behalf.

In May 2018, Dershowitz joined Harvey Weinstein's legal team as a consultant for Weinstein's lawyer Benjamin Brafman . Dershowitz advised the team on obtaining documents from The Weinstein Company related to the sexual abuse allegations against Weinstein.

During the 2008 Democratic Party primaries, Dershowitz endorsed Hillary Clinton, calling her "a progressive on social issues, a realist on foreign policy, a pragmatist on the 21 economy".

In 2012, he strongly supported Barack Obama's re -election, writing, "President Obama has earned my vote on the basis of his excellent judicial appointments, his consensus- building foreign policy, and the improvements he has brought about in the disastrous economy he inherited." In 2018, after a photo with then-Senator Obama and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan at a 2005 meeting of the Congressional Black Caucus emerged, Dershowitz insisted that he never would have campaigned for Obama had the photo been publicized soon after it was taken.

During the 2020 Democratic Party primaries, Dershowitz endorsed Joe Biden. He said: "I'm a strong supporter of Joe Biden. I like Joe Biden. I've liked him for a long time, and I could enthusiastically support Joe Biden."

He criticized Bernie Sanders, saying: "I don't think under any circumstances I could vote for a man who went to England and campaigned for a bigot and anti -Semite like Jeremy Corbyn.

In 2021, Dershowitz said that Trump's rally preceding the 2021 storming of the United States Capitol was "constitutionally protected" speech. He said it would be his "honor and privilege" to defend Trump in a trial. Trump reportedly considered him for his defense team.

Harvard Law Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz on Sunday argued in favor of government-mandated vaccines for the Wuhan coronavirus during an interview on the internet show "Crowd Source the Truth" with host Jason Goodman.

"Let me put it very clearly: you have no Constitutional right to endanger the public and spread the disease, even if you disagree. You have no right not to be vaccinated. You have no right not to wear a mask," the lawyer said. "You have no right to open your business –"

Goodman interrupted Dershowitz.

"If they decide we have to be vaccinated, we have to be vaccinated?" the host asked rather puzzled.

"Absolutely and if you refuse to be vaccinated the state has the power to literally take you to a doctor's office and plunge a needle into your arm," Dershowitz said. https://townhall.com/tipsheet/bethbaumann/2020/05/19/watch-alan-dershowitz- makes-the-case-for-government-mandated-coronavirus-vaccine-n2569134

22 Steven Arthur Pinker (born September 18, 1954) is a Canadian-American cognitive psychologist, linguist, and popular science author. He is an advocate of evolutionary psychology and the computational theory of mind.

Pinker is the Johnstone Family Professor of Psychology at Harvard University, and his academic specializations are visual cognition and psycholinguistics. His experimental subjects include mental imagery, shape recognition, visual attention, children's language development, regular and irregular phenomena in language, the neural bases of words and grammar, and the psychology of cooperation and communication, including euphemism, innuendo, emotional expression, and common knowledge. He has written two technical books that proposed a general theory of language acquisition and applied it to children's learning of verbs. In particular, his work with Alan Prince published in 1989 critiqued the connectionist model of how children acquire the past tense of English verbs, arguing instead that children use default rules such as adding "- ed" to make regular forms, sometimes in error, but are obliged to learn irregular forms one by one.

Pinker is also the author of eight books for general audiences. The Language Instinct (1994 ), How the Mind Works (1997), Words and Rules (2000), The Blank Slate (2002), and The Stuff of Thought (2007), describe aspects of psycholinguistics and cognitive science, and include accounts of his own research, arguing that language is an innate behavior shaped by natural selection and adapted to our communication needs. Pinker's The Sense of Style (2014), is a general language-oriented style guide.

Pinker's book The Better Angels of Our Nature (2011) argues that violence in human societies has generally steadily declined over time, and identifies six major trends and five historical forces of this decline. Enlightenment Now (2018) uses social science data to show a general improvement of the human condition over recent history.

In 2004, Pinker was named in Time magazine's “The 100 Most Influential People in the 23 World Today” and in the years 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2011 in Foreign Policy 's list of "Top 100 Global Thinkers". Pinker was also included in Prospect Magazine's top 10 "World Thinkers" in 2013. He has won awards from the American Psychological Association, the National Academy of Sciences, the Royal Institution, the Cognitive Neuroscience Society and the American Humanist Association. He delivered the Gifford Lectures at the University of Edinburgh in 2013. He has served on the editorial boards of a variety of journals, and on the advisory boards of several institutions. Pinker was the chair of the Usage Panel of the American Heritage Dictionary from 2008 to 2018.

Pinker was born in Montreal, Quebec, in 1954, to a middle-class Jewish family. His grandparents emigrated to Canada from Poland and Romania in 1926, and owned a small necktie factory in Montreal. His father was a lawyer. His mother eventually became a high-school vice-principal. His brother is a policy analyst for the Canadian government, while his sister, Susan Pinker , is a psychologist and writer who authored The Sexual Paradox and The Village Effect.

Pinker married Nancy Etcoff in 1980 and they divorced in 1992; he married again in 1995 and again divorced His third wife, whom he married in 2007, is the novelist and philosopher Rebecca Goldstein . He has two stepdaughters: the novelist Yael Goldstein Love and the poet Danielle Blau.

Pinker adopted atheism at 13, but at various times was a serious "cultural Jew."

In 2020, an open letter to the Linguistic Society of America requesting the removal of Pinker from its list of LSA Fellows and its list of media experts was signed by hundreds of academics. The letter accused Pinker of a "pattern of drowning out the voices of people suffering from racist and sexist violence, in particular in the immediate aftermath of violent acts and/or protests against the systems that created them", citing as examples six tweets and a phrase used in his 2011 book. Free Speech Crusader Steven Pinker Blocking Anyone Mentioning His Epstein Ties The Harvard professor and author had a colleague manually block anyone tweeting the words "Pinker" and "Epstein" using his Twitter account, he told Motherboard.

By Edward Ongweso Jr August 28, 2020, 2:24pm

Harvard professor and author Steven Pinker, who previously railed against “cancel culture,” is blocking anyone on Twitter who mentions his connections to Jeffrey 24 Epstein, the financier who was charged with organizing a child sex trafficking ring before being found dead in his jail cell shortly after his arrest last year.

Twitter users this week noticed that anyone who mentions the words “Pinker” and “Epstein,” in any context and combination in any tweet, was quickly blocked by Pinker on the social network. Motherboard tested it out on Thursday, and was blocked. When reached for comment, Pinker confirmed that his account is blocking anyone who mentions these keywords together.

In an email to Motherboard, Pinker claimed "my Twitter feed became infested with trolls and bots who kept posting photos with me and Jeffrey Epstein, though I had no connections with him other than third parties who had invited us to some of the same events."

While many Twitter users assumed that Pinker must be using an automated script, since he is quickly blocking anyone who mentions certain keywords on the site, the task is being done manually, Pinker said. A colleague told him of "these attacks,” he said, and "offered to monitor my feed and implemented some simple text searches on Tweetdeck to flag those accounts, which that colleague then manually blocked. The colleague doesn’t block anyone for criticizing or disagreeing with something I’ve written.” After reaching out for comment, Pinker seemingly stopped blocking people for doing this.

"I’ve been told that people are now bitching and moaning about this, but no one has a First Amendment right to post something on Steven Pinker’s Twitter feed,” Pinker wrote to Motherboard. “If someone wants to smear me personally, they have plenty of channels; to whine that I’m not offering them my platform has to be a new definition of “chutzpah,” after the man who killed his parents and threw himself on the mercy of the court because he’s an orphan."

Pinker’s numerous interactions in Epstein’s orbit have long been the subject of reporting and speculation.

In 2007, when Epstein was first indicted for procuring a minor for prostitution, Pinker "provided his expertise on language" for Epstein's defense, according to The New York Times . Pinker offered his services for free and, he told the Times, at the request of his friend, Havard law professor Alan Dershowitz—who has himself been accused of sexually assaulting minors trafficked by Epstein, which he denies.

Pinker wrote to Motherboard that: “In this case, Alan never said to me, ‘Will you help me defend Jeffrey Epstein’? He asked, as he often does, ‘How would a reasonable person interpret the wording of this law?’” He also offered that Dershowitz had consulted with him on the meaning of the statutes of impeachment last year, before he took on Trump as a client.

25 In 2019, Pinker tweeted that in 2002 his literary agent introduced him to Epstein, who cultivated a network of elite intellectuals and academics. Sometimes those intellectuals spoke or appeared at Epstein -financed Edge Foundation events, other times they hung out at Epstein’s island (or estates), and other times they entertained Epstein’s hare -brained schemes like freezing his head and penis and “seed[ing] the human race with his DNA.” Pinker seems to have been involved with Edge speaking events as far back as 2011, and appears in a photo from one of the Edge “‘Billionaires’ Dinners,” which Epstein has attended, in 2003.

Pinker is right in that there are many photos of he and Epstein together for trolls to choose from. There is a picture of Pinker with Epstein in 2014, years after the man became a registered sex offender. In a 2019 tweet, Pinker explained that “[Lawrence] Krauss seated me next to him at a lunch, & someone snapped a photo.”

There are more in 2004 of Pinker with Epstein at an event at Harvard’s Program for Evolutionary Dynamics (PEDS). Pinker wrote to Motherboard that “[t]he director of the Program, Professor Martin Nowak, invited me, and he also invited Epstein. I had nothing to do with Epstein being there.”

According to a report by Harvard University, Epstein visited the campus over a dozen times, was a visiting fellow at one point, and had an office there —after he was convicted of procuring a minor for prostitution in 2008 —and donated $9.2 million to the university, $6.5 million of which went to PEDS.

There is the fact that , as far back as 2002, Pinker’s name appears in that jet’s flight logs for Epstein’s Lolita Express—that flight was to attend a TED conference in Monterrey, California after which one of Brockman and Epstein’s Billionaire Dinners happened. There is a photo of Pinker on the flight.

In an unsealed manuscript written by Virginia Giuffre—one of the main survivors of Epstein's trafficking ring to come forward—Giuffre says she was forced to sleep with a Harvard professor named “Stephen,” his last name redacted, and described him as "a quirky little man with white hair and a mad scientist look about him.” Pinker’s name is spelled “Steven” with a ‘v.’ Another Harvard professor, Stephen Kosslyn, who once taught Pinker, has been tied to Epstein; Kosslyn is bald, with white hair on the sides of his head. Kosslyn does not appear in any known Epstein flight logs.

Pinker said he is not the “Stephen” in Giuffre’s manuscript and wrote “This was not me. I’ve never set foot on Epstein’s island nor any of his other properties. I spell my name ‘Steven,’ and there are Harvard professors named ‘Stephen’ who do have a connection with Epstein. This is not to say that Giuffre’s accusations are true, just that they are not about me.”

If Pinker is trying to quash public associations between him and Epstein, he hasn’t done a very good job of it. In 2015, seemingly without prompting, Pinker tweeted out 26 an affidavit from Dershowitz which dismissed accusations made by Giuffre in a lawsuit against Epstein and his long -time friend British Prince Andrew —another prominent figure who appears in the flight logs and is accused of sexually assaulting children. https://www.vice.com/en/article/g5pn87/free-speech-crusader-steven-pinker-blocking- anyone-mentioning-his-epstein-ties

Stephen Michael Kosslyn (born 1948) is an American psychologist, neuroscientist, and expert on the science of learning. Kosslyn is president of Active Learning Sciences, Inc., which helps institutions design active- learning based courses and educational programs. He is also founder and chief academic officer of Foundry College, an online two-year college designed to help working adults develop skills and knowledge that will not be automated in the foreseeable future. Prior to that, Kosslyn was founding dean and chief academic officer of the Minerva Schools at KGI (the Keck Graduate Institute). And before that, he was the John Lindsley Professor of Psychology in Memory of William James and Dean of Social Science at Harvard University.

Kosslyn was born in Southern California, and grew up in Pacific Palisades. As an undergraduate at UCLA he worked in the labs of Barbara Henker, who studied children with autism, and John P. Seward with whom he published his first publication, a study of learning in rats. Kosslyn also spent considerable time talking to Edward Sadalla, who helped him learn how to structure an argument and identify when a creative idea was worth considering. He received a B.A. in psychology from UCLA in 1970.

Kosslyn attended graduate school at Stanford University. Upon arriving, he discovered that his advisor was resigning so that he could work for the "ecology movement," leaving Kosslyn adrift. He took courses his first quarter and did not engage in research. In his second quarter, he met his future advisor, Gordon H. Bower, who would have a huge influence on all aspects of his life. In graduate school Kosslyn was also fortunate to share an office with Susan Haviland, who was soon to marry Edward E. Smith. Smith 27 loved to "talk shop" and Kosslyn learned an immense amount from him. Kosslyn received a Ph.D. in psychology from Stanford in 1974.

On leaving graduate school, Kosslyn first went to the Johns Hopkins University as an assistant professor, specializing in developmental psychology. At the beginning of his third year at Hopkins, Kosslyn received offers from MIT and Harvard, both at the associate professor level. He went to Harvard in large part because of an impassioned letter he received from a first-year graduate student, Steven Pinker , who was seeking an advisor.

After four years at Harvard, Kosslyn obtained a Research Career Development Award and went to Brandeis University. One year later he went back to Hopkins as a visitor; while there he was granted tenure at Harvard. Kosslyn returned to Harvard in 1983, and after 10 years as "Head Tutor" (running the undergraduate program), became chair of the department, and then became Dean of Social Sciences. According to a September 2019 letter from Harvard's president to alumni, Kosslyn's lab was a beneficiary of Jeffrey Epstein’s philanthropy and he nominated Epstein as a visiting fellow in the department of psychology in 2005 (prior to Epstein's 2008 conviction).

Kosslyn remained at Harvard until 2011, at which point he returned to Stanford, as director of the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences. After two years, he had developed a strategic plan for how the center could operate within its means. He then accepted an offer to be the Founding Dean of the Minerva Project, based in San Francisco. The Minerva Project in turn partnered with Keck Graduate Institute, a member of the Claremont University consortium, and Kosslyn was chief academic officer at the Minerva Schools at KGI until early 2018. Foundry College was funded (by Learn Capital) in July of that year.

Kosslyn has received numerous honors for his research. These include the National Academy of Sciences Initiatives in Research Award, the Prix Jean-Louis Signoret, three honorary doctorates (from the University of Caen, France; the University of Paris- Descartes, France; the University of Bern, Switzerland), a Guggenheim fellowship, and a Cattell Award. He was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Society of Experimental Psychologists, and Academia Rodinensis pro Remediatione (Switzerland).

Stephen Kosslyn is listed as Jewish on this site. http://jinfo.org/Psychologists.html

Stephen Kosslyn is also one of four founding deans of a Jewish college. https://www.timesofisrael.com/son-of-israeli-academics-wants-to-change-us-higher- education/ IN THE NAME OF SCIENCE – STEPHEN KOSSLYN’S

28 PAST CONNECTION TO JEFFREY EPSTEIN ELIANNA DESOTA * SEPTEMBER 21, 2019 * REPORTS

This article – the first written by a 2023 student – is the first from the second iteration of The Minerva Quest’s reporter group. Reporters from all classes will publish small reports on updates at Minerva, what’s going on in cities, and more.

Harvard’s president recently wrote a public letter trying to distance the institution from Jeffrey Epstein and the $8.9 million dollars he donated to the school between 1998 and 2007. It included an admission that former Harvard psychology professor, Dr. Stephen Kosslyn, received individual funds from Epstein and named him a visiting fellow at the psychology school in 2005. Kosslyn left Harvard seven years later to become the Founding Dean of Minerva Schools at KGI. Although Kosslyn is no longer working at Minerva, the revelation of his past connection to Epstein has sparked conversation amongst students.

Epstein was charged with sexually abusing dozens of girls as young as 14. He was arrested without bail for sex trafficking of minors and conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking of minors in July 2019. Before appearing in court, however, he committed suicide in federal prison on August 10. As The Miami Herald ’s reported on Epstein’s crimes, he was first accused of sexual misconduct against a minor in March of 2005 by a 14-year-old girl and plead guilty to two counts of felony prostitution (but not the more serious sex trafficking charges) in 2007.

Kosslyn did not respond to The Quest’s request for comment.

A 2002 New York Magazine profile of Epstein first publicly associated Kosslyn with Epstein. They continued working together until 2006 and potentially later. Kosslyn mentioned in the profile that Epstein funded some of his work during this period. Additionally, Epstein was a key influence on at least one of Kosslyn’s psychology papers. In 2005, Kosslyn named Epstein a visiting fellow in the Harvard Psychology department, a decision Harvard is investigating, according to the letter (Epstein has neither the doctorate degree nor academic experience with psychology required to apply for the position).

There are only two publicly verifiable connections between Kosslyn and Epstein after Epstein was accused of sexual misconduct in March 2005. The first was an acknowledgment Kosslyn put in his 2006 publication, “On the Evolution of Human Motivation: the Role of Social Prosthetic Systems,” in which he thanked Epstein for his “persistent and insightful prodding.” Furthermore, visitor logs at Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office show Kosslyn visited Epstein in prison twice over a weekend in

29 2008. The two spent a total of about 10 hours together.

All of these events occurred about six years before Kosslyn became the Founding Dean of Minerva Schools at KGI in 2012. Minerva’s Director of Marketing, Junko Green, told the Quest that Minerva “cannot comment on and ha[s] no information about, Dr. Stephen Kosslyn’s interactions with Epstein.” They further clarified that “Minerva has never received any funds or gifts of any kind from Jeffery Epstein.”

Lastly, Green stated Minerva staff are currently working on a small article about vetting donors which they hope to publish soon. https://www.minervaquest.com/2019/09/21/in-the-name-of-science-stephen-kosslyns- past-connection-to-jeffrey-epstein/
