From: Abingdon School 11 February 2011 To: all parents An Evening with Anthony Horowitz – Tuesday 10 May at 6.30 pm Helen & Douglas House are delighted to announce an exclusive evening with Anthony Horowitz, one of Britain’s best loved authors. On Tuesday 10 May, Anthony will talk about his work including the Alex Rider novels, Power of Five Series, The Diamond Brother Series and his work in television. The highly successful Alex Rider novels include Stormbreaker, Point Blank, Skeleton Key, Eagle Strike, Scorpia, Ark Angel, Snakehead and Crocodile Tears.The ninth and final Alex Rider book, Scorpia Rising, will be published on 31 March. Anthony Horowitz is perhaps the busiest writer in England. He has been writing since the age of eight, and professionally since the age of twenty. In addition to the highly successful Alex Rider books, he is also the writer and creator of award winning detective series Foyle’s War, and more recently event drama Collision. Among his other television works he has written episodes for Poirot, Murder in Mind, Midsomer Murders and Murder Most Horrid. His new five-part drama series ‘Injustice’ will be shown on ITV1 in May. The evening, which will also feature a question and answer session, starts at 6.30 pm at the Amey Theatre, Abingdon School. After the talk Anthony will sign books ( one book per child) and some of his work will also be available to purchase. Please note that parking is very limited around the school so please use the multi-storey car park in the centre of Abingdon, which is a 3 minute walk from the theatre.
