It consists of Atlantic County, along the southern New Jersey Shore, and it is approximately 60 miles southeast of the city of Philadelphia. The HMA is home to nine casinos, including the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and the Ocean Casino Resort, which both opened during 2018. The current population of the HMA is estimated at 265,200.
