Nataliya Lefmenko Mountain Tourism in Ukraine and Poland Mountain cliffs that seem launching straight into the blue sky, deep dark forests with light green islands of fields and blue eyes of lakes, looking boiling but ice cold rivers and blue smoke of tour- ists’ fire – all this is the spirit of mountains. Though, it's not only about the wild and beautiful nature – mountains is a unique cultural region where contemporary way of living reveal thousands years old folk traditions and rituals. ZNZE WSIiZ 2/2006 (2), ISSN 1689-9229, s. 18-22 Let’s look into the beauty of the mountains in Slavske (Ukraine) and Zakopane (Poland) and development of tourism there. Slavske is the one of the most popular ski resort in the Ukrainian Carpathians, situated 130 km southwest of Lviv. Zakopane district is considered as the most attractive tourist region in the southern Poland, about 100 km to the south of Krakow, close to the border with Slovakia. It lies in a valley at the foot of the Tatras, the highest mountains in Poland. Slavske is the heart of Boykivshchyna region, a place that welcomes real connoisseurs of beauty, people who desire to feel themselves part of this wonderful world anytime during any season. Slavske is situated in the beautiful valley of the Opir river – land full of legends – local people still know whereabouts of old Drevlian tribe prince Sviatoslav's grave, a prince who died in the battle over here in 1015. Some researchers think that settlement raised near the 10th century, but its name has an ancient Slavonic origin of Slavka River or with glorious fighters of prince Sviatoslav.

Hamzeh'ee2 1Central Herbarium of Tehran university, School of Biology, University College of Science, University of Tehran, PO Box: 14155-6455, Tehran, Iran 2Research Institute of Forests and Rangelands, PO Box: 13185-116, Tehran, Iran * Corresponding author, e-mail: [email protected] (received: 5/5/2003 ; accepted: 7/7/2004) Abstract The present study includes the examination of Binaloud mountain range southwestern slopes north of Neishabour with an area around 500 km2 covering town of Kharv and Baghshangach village and the areas between them from floristical point of view. The altitude of the area ranges from 1300 to 3500m, the mean annual rainfall is 239.9 mm and the mean annual temperature is 14.25°C. The area comprises 487 plant species and subspecies belonging to 299 genera and 67 families. The largest families in the studied area were Asteraceae with 71 species, Poaceae with 50 species, Fabaceae with 45 species and Brassicaceae with 30 species, respectively. Therophytes constituting 37% of the biological types are dominant, followed by hemicryptophytes and chamephytes with 34% and 12%, respectively. From the standpoint of vegetation types, 48% of the chorotypes belong to Irano-Turanian vegetative elements and the rest relate to one, two, three or various other vegetation regions or have a global distribution. Based on the type of vegetation, type of basin and accessibility to water, the habitats can be divided into flat plains, rocky-dry slopes, wet slopes, aquatic habitats, landslides and degraded-land habitats.

Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Mashhad, IRAN * Correspondence Author. Email: [email protected] Received 27 March 2009; accepted 7 October 2009 Abstract: Based on original literature reports covering the period 1860 –1969, details of 362 records of 102 bird species considered rare in Iran are presented. This fills a gap in knowledge of Iran’s birds from a period between research by Gmelin and Hablizl in the 1770s (reviewed by Mlikovsky 2008) and an overview of the observations of rare birds in Iran in the 1960s and 1970s (presented by Scott 2008). Attention is drawn to two new species for Iran (Eastern Marsh Harrier Circus spilonotus and Blue Whistling Thrush Myophonus caeruleus ). Published details validate the records of Light-bellied Brent Goose Branta hrota , Upland Buzzard Buteo hemilasius , Great Knot Calidris tenuirostris , and Oriental Cuckoo Cuculus saturatus , formerly considered as of dubious occurrence in Iran. Information on six species (Yellow-breasted Tit Cyanistes cyanus flavipectus , Falcated Duck Anas falcata , Indian Nightjar Caprimulgus asiaticus , Güldenstädt’s Redstart Phoenicurus erythrogaster , Cirl Bunting Emberiza cirlus and Eurasian Nutcracker Nucifraga caryocatactes) was considered insufficient or unreliable and the occurrence of these species in Iran has been rejected. We recommend that these species be omitted from the last revised checklist of the birds of Iran (Scott & Adhami 2006).

ВІСНИК Львівської національної академії мистецтв. Вип. 25. Svitlana LUPIJ Ph. D. in Art Criticism, professor, Chair of History and Theory of Art LVIV SCULPTORS MONUMENTS TO TARAS SHEVCHENKO Ukrainian people together with all progressive mankind solemn- ly celebrated the 175-th anniversary of T. Shevchenko birthday. Our people feel infinite love and a deep respect to Kobzar who is a thinker and a public figure, a citizen, an artist and a brilliant seer. The image of T. Shevchenko occupies a place of honour in the Ukrainian art, first of all in sculpture. The monuments to T. Shevchenko which were unveiled during the XX th century in cities and villages of Ukraine including monuments in Lviv, became the place of worship, the symbol of indestractibility of freedom-loving spirit of Ukrainian people. The monuments to T. Shevchenko in Lviv are extremely special. They have long and sometimes dramatic history of the Ukrainian people struggle for freedom and independence. During hard Austrian-Hungarian times T. Shevchenko jubilees were celebrated as nationally holiday with meetings and concerts. I. Franko took the floor at a lot of such meetings. He proceeded T. Shevchenko`s affair of the liberation movement of Ukrainian people on a new stage. It was I. Franko who initiated the erection of the monument to T. Shevchenko in Lviv near the house of the scientific society named after T. Shevchenko. The author of the bronze bust was a famous Polish sculptor K. Hodebsky. But the Austian administration did not permit its erection. For a long time they couldn`t get agreement with a place of a monument arrangement.

  • Impact of Water Resources Management on Area Under Cultivation
REGET, Santa Maria v.24, e36, 2020 DOI: https://doi.org/10.5902/2236117043413 ISSN 2236-1170 Environmental Management Submissão: 08/04/20 Aprovação: 08/04/20 Publicação: 13/05/20 Impact of water resources management on area under cultivation level and agricultural production efficiency (Case Study: Villages of Zebarkhan district of Neyshabur city) Impacto da gestão dos recursos hídricos na área sob nível de cultivo e eficiência da produção agrícola (Estudo de Caso: Aldeias do distrito de Zebarkhan, na cidade de Neyshabur) Ali KariznoviI Hamid JafariII Abstract The amount of water consumed in the agricultural sector in Iran is higher than the global average and this necessitates more attention to proper water management in this sector. Due to the climatic conditions of Iran, the average rainfall in most areas is lower than global rainfall. That is to say, the water issue is one of Iran's most important concerns or the greatest challenge for the people of this land. Examining the current agricultural situation indicates that despite the increased agricultural production potential due to the lack of a proper management system, optimal utilization of available resources has not become possible and droughts and reduced rainfall and increasing population followed reduce the amount of water consumed in the agricultural sector. The present study investigates the impact of agricultural water resources management on the economic development of rural settlements (Case study: Villages of Zebarkhan district of Neyshabur city). This research is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of descriptive and analytical method and library and field methods have been used for data collection.
