AUSTIN, TX – With the turbulent changes of Austin’s demograph- ics over the past several decades, community medias are investigating ways to keep in touch with the original Eastsiders of our great city. One such explorer is Michael Lewis, Vice President, General Manager of Fox 7 Austin. Lewis is currently entertaining ideas to connect with the Black community, and people of color, as well as provide a plat- form for historical, present, and future exhibitions of the treasures hid- den in the aftermath of civil and financial gentrification shamelessly ravaging our East Austin streets in many-a-years.
