Although most of their time was spent in visits to the various NGOs, the travelers took time one afternoon to attend a session. One of the workers that day was Sister Appiah, the mother of Isaac Appiah, an MPA graduate of a few years ago. The group also took time to visit a botanical garden and do some shopping. This trip allowed all who went an opportunity to understand nonprofit work in Africa in a way that could never be obtained by just studying about it in Provo. v
