Local State Historic Parks on Closure List by Adrian Scott Fine On May 12, the Conservancy honored the Antelope Valley Indian Museum State Historic Park with a 2011 Preservation Award for its outstanding preservation and recent reopening. Imagine our surprise the very next day, when the museum appeared on State Parks’ list of parks it plans to permanently close due to the state budget crisis.
