This letter is to provide you with advance warning of the above Sand Pits Parade Kingston Row Queen’s Ride event and the necessary traffic management arrangements (west bound) START Civic Close Cannon Hill Park on the day, which will ensure the event takes place in a safe Sand Pits Parade Brindley Drive Edgbaston Road environment. (east bound) START Paradise Circus Willows Road Lionel Street Paradise Street Hallam Street Birmingham City Council, in conjunction with Bupa Great Run, are *Fleet Street Hill Street Lincoln Street organising the Bupa Great Birmingham Run – a half marathon *Charlotte Street Station Street Clevedon Street – starting at approximately 09:30, which is expected to attract (Parade to ) Dudley Street Longmore Street around 22,000 runners. The run will start on Sand Pits Parade and *Holland Street Edgbaston Street Belgrave Middleway finish on Broad Street adjacent to the International Convention *George Street Moat Lane (Five Ways) – westbound Centre. The roads affected are detailed in the table Helena Street Edgbaston Road on this leaflet, for further more detailed information relating to the specific times please go togreatrun.org/birmingham . *One way systems suspended to allow for access to property frontage, where applicable existing on street parking regulations unaffected. **Please note that Broad Street between Gas Street and Paradise Circus will have traffic restrictions from 02:00 on Sunday 19 October, to allow the run infrastructure build, managed Taxi access to the remainder of Broad St will be available until 05:00.

Reopening of roads will be done in a structured manner following the last runners in the event. Event infrastructure will be removed and roads cleansed ahead of the reopening. Please go to greatrun.org/birmingham for more detailed information on the key reopening times.

We would ask you to help us ensure that there is a safe route for the runners by parking on your property, if you are able to, or on a side street and not on the course route from midnight Saturday 18 October until the event is finished.

Cars found parked on the day of the event on the course will be removed to an adjoining street, and could be subject to a parking fine so please remove your vehicle before the closures come into effect.

The Bupa Great Birmingham Run 2014 will be an IAAF Silver label event cementing its position on the international road race calendar and we hope that people from across the city will support this fantastic event, either by taking part in the run, volunteering, or lining the streets along the route and cheering on those people taking part.
