Ottawa finished the game with 365 yards of offense, 134 rushing yards and 231 yards passing. Saint Mary had 79 yards rushing and 104 yards passing for 183 yards of offense. The OU defense sacked the Spire quarterbacks six times for 38 yards and forced two fumbles. KCAC Honors: Ottawa University junior linebacker, Colby Johnson, was named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in OU’s 39-3 victory over the University of Saint Mary last Saturday. He finished with 12 tackles, eight solo and four 22 assisted. Johnson had 2.5 sacks, four tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. His four tackles for loss OU’s defense held Saint Mary’s offense last week to 22 yards was for a total of 27.5 yards. Johnson leads the KCAC in tackles per game (10.8) in the first quarter. The Braves also forced two Spire fumbles. Series Information: Saturday’s game is the 66th meeting between the two teams. OU leads the series, 36-28-1. Ottawa is on a two game winning streak against the Falcons. The Braves won last year’s match up on Nov. 10, 43-10. The Braves had 486 yards of offense, 306 yards passing and 180 yards rushing.
