The keynote speaker emphasized that students should recognize the role they play in sharing the narrative for their academy experience, both personally, and as leaders in student publications, and determine, “What will your legacy be?”

The workshop also featured an awards ceremony recognizing yearbook and newspapers from the 2017/2018 school year entered into competition. The Academy Zone student news magazine received two awards - Excellence in Layout & Design and best overall NEW PHYSICAL EDUCATION UNIFORMS AVAILABLE for Excellence in Publishing.
