DATE AND VENUE The Conference will be held on 27-2 9 April 2016 at: Centro de Convenciones de Lima Av. Javier Prado Este, cuadra 24 San Borja, Lima The Lima Convention Centre was inaugurated in October 2015 and is located in the district of San Borja, in downtown Lima. The following points of interest are situated in the nearby area: the National Museum, the National Library and the National Theatre. The venue can accommodate up to 10,000 people and has 18 rooms, four basement levels and four auditoriums. In 2015, it hosted the Meetings of the Board of Governors of The World Bank and of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This year, it will host the textile fair Peru Moda, the International tourism fair Peru Travel Mart (PTM ) as well as the 24th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leader´s Summit. 2. REGISTRATION AND BADGES We kindly ask all participants to confirm their participation at the Conference at the earliest possible by registering online. Deadline to register is 10 April 2016. Participants are requested to keep a copy of their registration confirmation in order to have access to accommodation discounts and for visa procedures, if applicable. The registration desk will be open on Wednesday 27 April from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm. Participants are requested to wear their identification badges in the area reserved for the conference, as well as at all social events. 3. However, travelers who plan on visiting the jungle area are strongly advised to get vaccinated for yellow fever 15 days prior to their visit. 6. BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT LIMA The historical center of Lima is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Lima’s history dates back to before the Colonial presence. The arrival of the Spanish colonizers and the establishment of viceroyalty transformed the city into the most important political and administrative center of South America. During that period, important temples, monasteries and houses with balconies were built, which remain currently unchanged. Lima has a great offer of museums with great works of art, archaeological sites, beaches, boardwalks, valleys, wildlife reserves, an entertaining nightlife and delicious gastronomy that give to Lima a unique identity and makes it a great destination to visit. Location: On the central west coast of Peru, along the Pacific Ocean City size: 2,817 km2. The city of Cara, the oldest civilization in the Americas, is located in the Northern part while the archaeological site of Pachacamac is situated in the South. Other important archeological sites in the surroundings include Huaca Pucllana in the district of Miraflores, Huaca Huallamarca in San Isidro, or Huaca Mateo Salado in Pueblo Libre. 11.
