When this document was printed we were in hopes that all published events were a go, however if you have questions if an event is still a go, please call the church office. Our Vision . to Reach the lost to Disciple Believers and Equip all for ministry Our Mission To see the transformation of people and the building of families because of the love, grace, worship, and truth of Jesus Christ Our Core Values: Love Grace Worship Truth from Pastor Gordon Hello Emmanuel Family! The new year is fully underway as we move into February and there is much for which to be thankful. The challenges of 2020 are behind us, but there are challenges that have carried over from last year as well as new chal- lenges ahead. Our nation’s inauguration of President Biden and Vice President Harris has taken place. That should serve as a reminder of our Biblical mandate to pray for those who govern us. I think we would all agree that we want our nation to be a place of peace and unity. Our ability to model peace and unity as a Church Family can help those in our community get a glimpse of what that looks like. I hope you will pray in 2021 regularly for unity in our Church Family at Emmanuel! This month we begin a new series called “Sanitation Transformation”. It’s a series that’s been on my heart for many months as I’ve observed our culture in the news and on social media. I’ll be teaching on the early church and some of the things that fostered the sharing of the Gospel and some of the things that fostered unity in the early church that still apply to us today. Have we grown calloused towards things like gossip and complaining be- cause they’ve permeated the culture around us? We’ll take a hard look at these two topics along with Biblical con- flict resolution. February offers several opportunities to connect with God and each other. Here are just a few and there are others in the remaining pages of this edition of Acts and Facts: Family Life Cabin Fever Movie Day Sat., Feb. 6 at 2pm We’ll show “I Still Believe” which is a family friendly movie that shares the story of the writer of the song by the same name.
