Over the head credits, it runs in a shortened version, with just the first verse, fading out on the line ‘for nothing at all’. Over the tail credits, it runs longer. The song was written by Greg Macainsh and performed by the Tony Catz Band. The lyrics that follow are provisional - the band’s singer screeches as much as sings, in the approved Jimmy Barnes hard rock style (that’s not a criticism, just an observation). Question marks at the end of lines indicate uncertain lyrics. Any suggested improvements welcome: (The music over the tail credits begins with a guitar-driven instrumental) A guy fakes the limits, he’s along the way (?) I like riding the bus when I don’t have to pay Give me a woman who’s a little bit tough Show me the way to the nearest bar… Bullamakanka! I just wanna thank you... Bullamakanka! I just wanna thank you… For nothing at all…! It’s a rodeo in a parking lot A guy needs stuff, somebody forgot It’s a poem that the dog threw out It’s a dirty show, they’re all laughing about Bullamakanka! I just wanna thank ya... (chorus: Bulla ma Bulla ma Bulla ma Bulla ma Bulla ma Bulla ma Bulla ma Bulla ma) Bullamakanka! I just wanna thank you… For nothing at all….! Give me a ticket to the end of the line I’m looking for love, but I know what’s fine The way you laugh, and say you’re mine I got a little girl that got left behind... (Guitar-driven instrumental interlude) So been a long time, is what I confirm, Send them back to school, but they still never learn I say I’m sorry to the loudest one Expecting me to feel like I told them it’s done (the chorus of ‘Bulla ma’ has started running under the main lyrics) But if you make it, you better not run You can buy back your soul at the edge of town Been a while since anyone quit I guarantee it’ll be worth the trip It’s nothing at all…! Don’t mean nothing at all…! Chorus to finish: Bulla ma Bulla ma Bulla ma Bulla ma Bulla ma Bulla ma Bulla ma Bulla ma Bullamakanka At the end of the credits, and as the music finishes, we cut back to Mayor Rhino Jackson - Steve Rackman - who addresses the camera: Rhino: “What I did was wrong.” (Rhino moves forward to grab hold of the jail cell bars) “But since being here, I have found God! And I am writing a book, to tell the whole story!” Cut to black. Music in the film: As well as a lot of sourced music, there is some music seen in the film.
