How to find us aletscharena.ch/ge ng-here Riederalp, Be meralp and Fiesch-Eggishorn are the three holiday resorts at the heart of the Aletsch Arena in the canton of Valais. They can be reached safely and easily by car or train at any me of year. Riederalp, Be meralp and Fiescheralp are all car free! The final part of the journey takes place by cable car from the sta ons in Mörel, Be en Valley or Fiesch.
Day 1
11:00 – 11:30 Arrive in the Aletsch Arena (Riederalp, Be meralp or Fiesch-Eggishorn) Three viewpoints (Moosfluh, Be merhorn or Eggishorn) Hohfluh and Moosfluh – magnificent vantage points by the Great Aletsch Glacier The Moosfluh viewpoint, a high-energy site, is situated at 2,333m above sea level, close to the Hohfluh viewpoint at an al tude of 2,227m. Both loca ons offer breathtaking views of the Great Aletsch Glacier. A short, comfortable trip on the modern cableway brings visitors up to the vantage points from Riederalp. Once at the top, the giant glacier seems close enough to touch, making the Hohfluh and Moosfluh viewpoints ideal for a trip you’ll never forget. Be merhorn – a peak experience at the Great Aletsch Glacier A mountain and its many faces: enjoyment of nature is not Be merhorn’s only big a rac on. A combina on of sport, nature and culture makes this viewpoint a unique way to experience the mountain. Situated at 2,647m, it is easily reached on a short cable-car ride with Be meralp Bahnen. The magnificent view of the Great Aletsch Glacier is just one of the many mountain experiences awai ng visitors to the Be merhorn viewpoint. ! Eggishorn – a perfect 360° panorama It’s possible to admire the full length and impressive majesty of the Great Aletsch Glacier from Eggishorn, the viewpoint located at 2,869 metres. Not only that – whichever direc on you turn, you’ll find the highest peaks: the Mönch, the Eiger, the Jungfrau, the Wannenhorn, the Finsteraarhorn and, to the west, the Weisshorn, the Mischabel group with the Dom, and the added bonus of the Ma erhorn itself, all of which form a stunning 360° panorama. The Great Aletsch Glacier: energy for the soul It should come as no surprise that the unique natural landscape of the Aletsch Arena is a place of unusual energy and power. In a se ng of such extraordinary beauty, visitors must surely be able to feel the power of nature that created it. And, in fact, they can. This has been confirmed by Philippe Elsener, a natural energy specialist, who found several spots in the Aletsch Arena where the posi ve energy of the earth rays is par cularly strong. Elsener describes the energy spots at the Aletsch Arena viewpoints as strengthening and revitalising, s mula ng and relaxing. All of which makes a Viewpoint Tour at Moosfluh, Be merhorn or Eggishorn even more a rac ve. Breathing deeply and freely at such an energy spot while soaking in the spectacular panoramic views of the Great Aletsch Glacier and Valais’s 4000m peaks is a truly powerful experience. Glacier World Be merhorn – bringing the exhibi on experience alive This mul media exhibi on presents an in-depth explora on of the secrets of the Great Aletsch Glacier, uncovering the amazing facts and fascina ng stories that are buried in this gigan c mass of perpetual ice. During the exhibi on experience, visitors of all ages can learn interes ng facts about the glacier as they embark on an exci ng journey of discovery involving playful explora on and relaxed enjoyment, with a view of the Great Aletsch Glacier. The exhibi on is free of charge.
Viewpoint tours can also be booked as an overall package including lunch.
Day 2 “The Aletsch Glacier Nature Experience” guided tour Set out on an impressive excursion under the guidance of an expert from the Aletsch Pro Natura Centre, who’ll be wai ng at Riederalp Mi e to escort you on the cable car to Moosfluh. You’ll then get right up close to the longest glacier in the Alps and learn all about its fascina ng history and the uncertain future it faces. On the way back to Riederfurka, you’ll pass through the Aletsch Forest, a nature reserve that is home to some of the oldest Swiss pine trees in the country (800 - 1,000 years old). At the end of the trip, you can enjoy a piece of home-made cake in the tea room at the Pro Natura Centre or visit the interes ng exhibi ons, mul media show or Alpine garden. Guided tour of the historic Villa Cassel On this guided tour through the historic rooms of the Villa Cassel, you’ll discover the story of its transforma on from summer residence for English high society to the first nature conserva on centre in Switzerland.

And why are mountain flowers so splendidly colourful? Come along “on the trail of diversity”. Owing to space restric ons, places on the tour of the Alpine garden are restricted to a maximum of 12 per group.

Cheesemaking demonstra ons Watch and see how pungent, spicy Alpine cheese is made over an open fire, just as it was back in the old days. You can also purchase this delicious cheese at the museum.

Day 3 09:00 – 16:00 Guided glacier tours in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Safely exploring the Great Aletsch Glacier with an experienced mountain guide is an unforge able experience. Guided glacier tours are available almost daily at the tourist des na ons of Riederalp, Be meralp and Fiesch-Eggishorn.

But if you have what it takes, mastering the challenges in an outdoor fun park of this kind guarantees pure exhilara on. Visitors to the Aletsch Arena can test their climbing and balancing skills at two treetop ropes courses: the Baschweri Adventure Park at Be meralp and the Swiss Adventure Park in Fiesch.
