DJ Hurricane successfully narrates the origins of the breakthrough that has transcended time and cultures. His rough and tumble youthful experiences and determined struggle to avoid becoming a statistic detail a roadmap for today's youth whether they are contemplating a music career or not. The positive affirmations and reinforcements in this book should be required reading for anyone who wants to live their dreams. Pioneering Hip Hop DJ Hurricane overcame the challenges of crime-ridden and drug-infested Hollis, back in the 80's to become a permanent DJ for the for over a decade which enabled him to travel the world and parlay his career and affiliations into a life that still beats hip hop. DJ Hurricane shares some of his experiences and tips on how you can live the life of your dreams, too.

About the AuthorWENDELL "HURRICANE" FITE is a hip hop DJ, producer and rapper from Hollis, Queens who grew up as childhood buddies with the late of RunDMC. He got his start as a member of the group SOLO SOUNDS with DAVY DMX and as a bodyguard on RunDMC's "Raising Hell Tour," the same tour he went onto be a permanent DJ for THE BEASTIE BOYS for the next decade, plus. He was also a part of the group called THE AFROS and recorded three solo . CANE currently runs his own production company, "Don't Sleep Productions," and is overseeing the career of JBYRD, whose video tribute to THE GREEN BAY PACKERS became a viral hit with over 1 million YouTube viewers, almost overnight. Recently DJ HURRICANE was resident DJ in Las Vegas at THE WYNN HOTEL club, Surrender and Encore Beach Club. From 2008 to 2013, he was touring with . HURRICANE also lectures at colleges, including Full Sail University in Orlando and Kennesaw State University in Georgia. WILEY CHASE GRIFFFIN, Philadelphia, PA native is creator of "Chase the Shark" children's book series which includes "Flies Like a Bird" and "Hungry as a Bear." Currently employed by the City of Philadelphia, Chase is a proud father and foster parent whose love for hip hop reaches back for decades. Chase is currently working with CANE on "Hollis Crew." JEAN GIVAN, born in Jamaica, NY and raised in Hollis, Queens, has been a hip hop lover since childhood. Exposure to poetry, reading and a love for learning came early to Jean through her mother's influence. Jean has a degree in English from Syracuse University and has utilized her literary prowess to help others with their written correspondence, school papers, theses, books and has written her own book: "21 Tips for Making It Out of Your Tough Times."
