The first edition of the Pavia Vigevano, held 51 years ago exclusively for river craft, was organized by Canottieri member Cav. Marino Valle. • Intro

• Competitions Over the years since then, the event has opened to olympic craft, to become a major national meeting.

The main awards of the meet are the Filippo Vidali trophy, now in its 27th year, given to the Junior athlete (under-18) with the best time in a single seater or marathon river craft; and the Marino Valle trophy, now in its 12th year, for the winner crew of Barcé Marathon Gran Barcé

• 4° MARATHON SUP Stand Up Paddle marathon (2 km)

THE TICINO RIVER The Ticino is a large river with fast currents. There are quite a few submerged obstacles, mainly tree trunks; and circular currents. Difficulty: class I and II. Experience in navigating currents and good craft control are required.

SAFETY RULES: Life-jacket: mandatory for all competitors. Footwear and helmets optional for all competitors. Unsinkable craft

RACE PACKAGE Your race pack will contain: A commemorative t-shirt, 1kg of locally-grown rice, 1 bottle of local wine and 1 sachet of mineral salt supplement. The athletes will receive the race pack when they will give the race number back

LUNCH

LUNCH AT CANOTTIERI TICINO - Price 8,00€

First and second course with a 500ml bottle of water and bread. Participants in the races will be asked to hand over their bracelet.

CAMPING

The Canottieri Ticino will provide camping space on fenced club grounds for tents and campers. Advance booking is necessary, and places will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

SERVIZI Participants will have access to toilets at the Canottieri Ticino.
