The official induction ceremony weekend will take place in Louisville, Kentucky, with a ring ceremony on Thursday, June 25 at the Muhammad Ali Center, and golf outing fundraiser at Oxmoor Country Club and the induction ceremony at the Brown Theatre on Friday, June 26. “Kentucky is the only state in the country with a pro football hall of fame,” said Dr. Steve R. Specifically funds raised will go toward pediatric heart care and Brave Hearts, which is a support group of local families united by their children’s fight for life after being born with complex congenital heart defects requiring heart surgery. “The Children’s Hospital Foundation is grateful for the support being given to the children in our community by the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame,” said Lynnie Meyer, MSN, R.N., CFRE, executive director of the Children’s Hospital Foundation. “Kosair Children’s Hospital offers the region’s only pediatric congenital heart center and treats more than 400 children a year with heart defects. “Many have endured multiple heart surgeries, heart transplants and an array of other related medical procedures. With the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame’s help, we can give more of these kids the help they need.” “We’re excited about our relationship with Kosair Children’s Hospital, whose purpose is to increase the quality of life for children from Kentucky and throughout the world,” said Parker.
