PBA World Series of Bowling VI Returns to South Point in Las Vegas WSOB VI to include four animal pattern championships, final major championship of 2014 season

SEATTLE – The Professional Bowlers Association World Series of Bowling VI will return to South Point Hotel, Casino and BringYour Group Here for a Bowling Center in Las Vegas Oct. 24-Nov. 2, PBA Commissioner Tom Clark announced today.

New Experience ••• The PBA World Series, which originated in 2009 at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Mich., as a multi-event international show- case of bowling talent, will again feature four exclusive PBA “animal pattern” championships – the Cheetah, Viper, Scorpion and Chameleon Championships – which also will serve as qualifying events for the 2014 season’s third major championship, the PBA World Championship.

Since its inception, the PBA World Series has welcomed bowlers from 31 different countries, including representation by a record 21 different nations in 2013. The PBA has received communications that China may send its first players in 2014.
