The space is being pushed by the Novare Group. It will include 268 apartments with retail and office space. The project will be A $57 million investment, and the county hopes to reap $4.7 million over 10 years.
UAB student housing coming to downtown Birmingham
Corporate Realty Development and Parallel Company, a student housing developer, are planning a seven-story apartment complex designed for University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) students across the street from Railroad Park in downtown Birmingham.
The Stacy Williams Co. Building, former syrup manufacturing and warehouse facility, at the corner of 14th Street and 1st Avenue South will be demolished to make way for the complex.
