The series has been celebrated by the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and NPR and has ranked among the top ten audio plays on iTunes. McQuaid says, "I can’t wait to get this new collection of Tales out to hungry ears. After five years on the project, the audio format is opening up to us in new ways and these ten Tales are a wonderful edition to our crazy canon of stories. These genuinely strange, unusual and original pieces are really powerful in the audio format." Fessenden adds, “This was a particularly creative season for us as we had to build a lot of the Tales ourselves. McQuaid was performing triple duties on several tales, editing, sound designing and scoring while working closely with the writer/directors. We also did a lot of work on both coasts.” Fessenden and McQuaid joined forces with producer Jenn Wexler to assemble the season, and returned to Digit Audio, NYC for foley, mixing and mastering.
