Undersökningen hade totalt 1000 respondenter. 52% Av de svarande var män och 48% kvinnor Ca 50% högutbildade och 50% lågutbildade Majoriteten av de svarande var moderater och socialdemokrater HUMORRAPPORTEN 2011 HUMORRAPPORTEN 2011 INTRODUKTION Vi på Comedy Central vill göra Sverige till ett roligare land. Vi vill göra svenskarna till ett gladare folk. Därför försöker vi uppmuntra humor var den än finns och belysa dess roll inom områden som traditionellt inte förknippas med humor. Till exempel politiken. Därför presenterar vi för tredje året i rad Humorrapporten under Almedalsveckan. Comedy Central är en av USA:s största TV-kanaler. En stor del av kanalens DNA finns i nyhetssatiren. Det finns en anledning till att The Daily Show med Jon Stewart och the Colbert Report är tittarsuccéer. Med hjälp av humor gör de komplexa ämnen mer begripliga. Obama valde att tala till nationen via Comedy Central och the Daily Show inför kongressvalet. Varför? Jo, för att humorn avdramatiserar och skapar intresse. Med humor som vapen kan den politiske kommunikatören åstadkomma de tre F:en som är så centrala för alla som försöker övertala och driva opinion. Förenkla, Förtydliga och Förföra. Det är vad politisk kommunikation handlar om. Humorrapporten 2011 ger oss en unik insikt i svenska folkets syn på humornivån i svensk politik. Vem som är roligast, vem som är tråkigast och vilka väljargrupper som tycker det är helt okej att skämta om allt. Och mycket, mycket mer. Mycket nöje! I förra årets Humorra- pport svarade 46 procent av svenskarna att det var för lite humor i svensk politik. I år är motsvarande siffra ännu högre. Enligt årets undersökning tycker 52 procent av svenskarna att det är för lite humor i politiken. TRÅKIGT! BARA 3%AV SVENSKARNA TYCKER ATT POLITIK ÄR ROLIGT. DET ÄR FÖR LITE HUMOR I DEN SVENSKA POLITIKEN 25% VET EJ / 52% NEUTRAL INSTÄMMER 23% INSTÄMMER INTE HUMORRAPPORTEN 2011 HUMORRAPPORTEN 2011 HUMOR I POLITIKEN ÖKAR SVENSKARNAS ENGAGEMANG En tredjedel av svenskarna uppgav i förra årets Humor- rapport att deras engagemang för politik skulle öka om den innehöll mer humor. I år menar ännu fler svenskar, 37 procent, att de skulle engagera sig mer i politiken om den var mer humoristisk. Det är framför allt de socialdemokratiska väljarna som tror att mer humor i politiken skulle öka deras engage- mang. Kristdemokrater tycker i större utsträckning att svensk politik är roligare än vad andra partiers anhän- gare tycker. Kanske har det något att göra med den skojfriske Göran Hägglund? Varma gratulationer till Håkan Juholt – Sveriges roli- gaste partiledare! I årets undersökning fick svenskarna ta ställning till vilka partiledare som passade bäst in i under ett antal egenskaper. Roligast ansåg väljarna att Socialdemokraternas Håkan Juholt var, 35 procent. Det är framför allt de äldre generationerna (30 – 50-tal- ister) som tycker Håkan Juholt är en kul prick. Svenska väljare är lojala typer. Alla tycker att ledaren för det parti som de sympatiserar med är roligast. FRÅGA: VILKEN PARTILEDARE TYCKER DU ÄR ROLIGAST? Men hon behöver inte bli så led- sen för det. Hon är tätt följd av Andreas Carlgren, Beat- rice Ask, Sten Tolgfors och Eskil Erlandsson. Den politiker som skämtar om handikapp kommer inte vinna några val. 80 procent av väljarna tycker inte det är okej att skämta om handikapp. Sverigedemokratiska väljare verkar ta lite lättare på det där med tabun.     Mjuka män och hårda kvinnor – en kvalitativ textanalys om hur kön gestaltas när politiker gästar Skavlan Författare: Emelie Hagbard Lisa Jalakas Handledare: Monika Djerf-Pierre Journalistprogrammet VT 2013 Abstract In this study we have explored how gender is constructed when politicians visit the Swedish talk show Skavlan. This has been done by using the qualitative textual analysis ECA (Ethnographic Content Analysis). Our theoretical points of departure are the interaction between politics and media, the structure of the talk show format and gender theories. Our premise has been that gender is a social and cultural construction that can be both reproduced and renegotiated. A central part of our study has been to analyse the balance of power in the conversation and how this balance may change. Our outset has been that everyone takes part in producing the discourse in which they act. To be able to map out how gender and power is renegotiated in Skavlan we have applied four analytical themes on our material: the interviewer’s (Fredrik Skavlan’s) role in the conversation, the politician’s role in the conversations, the themes of the conversation and how gender is explicitly made visible. Gender is made visible in various ways in the interviews. In general the female politicians are distinguished as deviating from the masculine norm in politics. However, we also found that the male politicians often are described and describe themselves with features that have traditionally been considered feminine. The opposite applies for the female politicians. Furthermore, we found that the male politicians spoke more about their private lives, while the female politicians focused on the professional.

    SWEDEN European Elections monitor General Elections in Sweden from Corinne Deloy th Translated by Helen Levy 19 September 2010 On 19th September next 7 million Swedes are being called to renew all of their MPs: both national ANALYSIS (members of the Riksdag, the only Chamber of Parliament) and local (town councils and county councils). Norwegians and Icelanders who live in the kingdom, those with a nationality of another State but registered as resident in Sweden for the last three consecutive years and citizens of the 26 other EU Member States will be entitled to vote in the local elections. With regard to the general election voters can vote by post in advance in all of the country’s post offices during the 18 days preceding the election i.e. as from 1st September. If they so wish they can cancel their postal vote by returning to the ballot box on Election Day. 497,000 Swedes will be voting for the first time on 19th September next i.e. +15% in comparison with the last general elections on 17th September 2006, representing 9% of all voters. Finally 132,780 Swedes living abroad will be taking part in the election. Just one month from the election the result is still uncertain. Many political analysts believe that the election will be fought out in the centre. In a SIFO poll in July 36% of Swedes said they tended to the right, 24% to the left and 33% to the centre. Another poll in July showed that 46% of voters thought that the Alliance forces, in office at present, were going to win on 19th September whilst 40% were forecasting a change in government and therefore a victory for the left.

    2012 Press release 26 November 2012 Ministry of Health and Social Affairs New cooperation agreement with India Today, 26 November 2012, Sweden and India have signed a social insurance agreement that makes it easier for Swedish citizens to work in India and for Indian citizens to work in Sweden. Similar negotiations are taking place with Japan, China and South Korea. The agreement coordinates the general Indian and Swedish old-age, survivors' and disability pensions systems. It determines whether a person is to be insured in India or Sweden, thus preventing people losing the rights they have acquired and social security contributions being paid in both countries. Sweden has similar agreements with ten other countries: Bosnia and Sweden (pdf 51 kB) Herzegovina, Canada, Cape Verde, Chile, Croatia, Israel, Morocco, Serbia, Turkey and the United States. Under the agreement, employees can be sent from their home country to work for the company in the other country for two years at the most (can be extended by a further two years). They continue to be insured for old-age, survivors' and disability pensions in their home country and pay their social insurance contributions for these insurances there. An estimated 500 Swedish citizens live in India. About 160 Swedish companies are registered in India. In addition, about 1 000 Swedish companies do business in and with the country. Roughly 8 000 Indian citizens and 20 000 people of Indian origin live in Sweden.

    2010 Press release 10 September 2010 Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications Greater profits for state-owned enterprises During the first half of 2010, state-owned enterprises' earnings grew by 20 per cent, while pre-tax profits rose by 42 per cent. Earnings rose by 20 per cent during the first half of 2010, from SEK 165.0 billion to SEK 197.6 billion. The higher earnings are partly attributable to increased earnings for Vattenfall, which accounted for approximately 60 per cent of the aggregate earnings of all state-owned enterprises. LKAB continued to report major increases in earnings compared to the previous year. LKAB's earnings rose during the period from SEK 4.0 billion to SEK 12.7 billion. During the same period, the newly formed enterprises Infranord and Swedavia had a positive effect on turnover of SEK 2.1 billion and SEK 1.1 billion respectively. Pre-tax profits rose by 42 per cent, from SEK 24.7 billion to SEK 35.2 billion. The profit after tax rose by 38 per cent, from SEK 19.8 billion to SEK 27.5 billion. LKAB reported considerably higher profits after tax compared to the same period in the previous year, from a loss of SEK 222 million to a profit of SEK 4.7 billion. Vattenfall reported lower profits after tax, down from SEK 10.7 billion to SEK 9.0 billion. Gross investments increased by 39 per cent to SEK 36.4 (26.2) billion during the first two quarters. The bulk of the investments are attributable to Vattenfall and LKAB, which are continuing with their major investment programmes.

Master´s Thesis in Political Science Author: Niklas Ylander Supervisor: Gunnar Myrberg Word count: 19777 Thesis defence seminars: 2-6 March 2015 Uppsala University Department of Government ABSTRACT In the last ten years several violent protests have emerged in Sweden´s largest cities. Some of them have developed into real riots, resulting in burned cars and large police operations. These violent events, or ‘urban riots’, are a relatively new phenomenon in Sweden. The aim of this qualitative study is to investigate the structure of the discourse among the Swedish political elite in power. I will observe if the political discourse on disadvantaged areas in Sweden is characterized by continuity or change after urban riots. This study examines four urban riot cases, between 2005 and 2013. To study how the political discourse is constructed, framing theory elements are combined with elements from discourse analysis. The characteristic features of the two framing dimensions are outlined which gives me a framework to categorize the political discourse. The two dimensions are; diagnostic and prognostic frames. The discourse analytical elements are used in order to systemize who is included in the political discourse by the political elite in power. A discourse analysis is then conducted on the collected empirical material, which consists of newspaper articles and parliamentarian debates from the Swedish parliament. The results from the analysis suggest that the disadvantaged districts are not salient both before and after the riots among the political elite in power, except for the last case.
