Alva -- Main Campus Northwestern’s main campus is located in Alva, a city of nearly 6,000 residents in northwest Oklahoma. Alva is located just 14 miles south of the Kansas border. Alva is approximately 115 miles northwest of and 100 miles southwest of Wichita, Kansas.

Northwestern’s main campus offers students a traditional on-campus college experience by living in university housing, dining in the cafeteria or Student Center Snack Bar, participating in campus media activities, attending home athletic events, going to university-sponsored concerts or plays, and more.

At Northwestern’s Alva campus, students can choose from more than 40 areas of study to earn their Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degrees, and offers complete master’s degree programs in education, counseling psychology, and American Studies

Enid Campus Northwestern Oklahoma State University-Enid assists a diverse population, including adult learners, achieve their career and educational goals by providing local, affordable access to higher education by offering upper-level courses leading to the bachelor’s degree and complete graduate degree programs in a positive, student-centered, technology-enriched learning environment that promotes service and excellence.

Offers upper-division courses for completion of bachelor’s degrees in 13 areas including accounting, business administration, computer science, E- commerce, education (elementary, secondary, special), general studies, history, nursing (RN, LPN Completion), political science, psychology, social work, sociology and technical management.

Offers complete master’s degree programs in education, counseling psychology, and American Studies and co-ops with two other universities to offer a Master of Business Administration degree.

Many students take advantage of the cooperative agreements between Northwestern and Northern Oklahoma College and make a smooth transition to Northwestern for completion of their four-year degree. Many other students come to finish a degree started earlier in life or transfer in coursework from other institutions.

Woodward Campus Northwestern Oklahoma State University-Woodward provides convenient access to higher education opportunities to a diverse population, includ- ing non-traditional students, to assist them in meeting education and career goals in a supportive environment, and to improve the quality of life in Woodward and the surrounding area.

Northwestern dedicated its new building in Woodward in September 2008. It offers students all classes for general education requirements and offers complete undergraduate degrees.

Offers complete master’s degree programs in education and counseling psychology, and co-ops with one university to offer a Master of Business Administration degree.

Students attending classes at Northwestern-Woodward are able to take the same types of undergraduate courses that are available at Northwest- ern’s main campus in Alva.

Recent All-Region Selections The transition began in the summer of 2012 with Northwestern’s formal acceptance into the membership cycle. Invitation in hand, LB Dakota Driskill 2nd Team (2018) the school severed ties with the Sooner Athletic Conference and the Central States Football League to join the Great American DE Joby Saint Fleur 2nd Team (2018) Conference as a provisional member. The 12-team conference features a balance of six Arkansas and six Oklahoma schools. The move to the GAC rekindles decades 2018 All-GAC Selections old rivalries from the old Oklahoma Intercollegiate Conference. Northwestern, East Central, Southeastern Oklahoma State and DE Joby Saint Fleur Jr. 2nd Team Southwestern Oklahoma State were all members up until the league split following the 1996 season. C Jordan Norris Jr. 2nd Team WR Horatio Smith So. 2nd Team When the latter three schools - along with Northeastern State - bolted for the NCAA in the mid-90s, Northwestern chose to remain QB Reid Miller Sr. Honorable Mention with the NAIA and was rewarded with a long stretch of gridiron success. In the 11-year period between 1995 and 2005, the Rang- ers produced 40 NAIA All-Americans. 2019 GAC Players of the Week The 1999 Rangers finished 13-0 and captured the National Title. The 2000 group - led by three-time All-American Lynn Scott - went unbeaten before falling in the National Finals. Scott went on to play five seasons for the Dallas Cowboys. Wk 1 Dakota Driskill Sr. Defensive Another future NFL standout played on that 2000 squad as a freshman. Patrick Crayton - later a Cowboy and San Diego Chargers - starred for four seasons. He helped lead the 2003 team back to the National Finals and was recently inducted into the Ranger Hall of Fame. Between 1996 and 2010, Northwestern compiled a 120-47 record (.719), winning eight conference titles. From 1999 to 2011 the Rangers posted an incredible 216 All-Conference selections as a member of the Central States Football League with nine trips to the NAIA Playoffs.

The GREAT AMERICAN CONFERENCE - the NCAA’s 23rd Division II league enters its ninth year of supporting and promot- ing intercollegiate athletics. During the 2018-19 academic year, 10 of the conference’s member schools won conference titles and they combined for 44 postseason appearances. On the field, 121 student-athletes garnered all-region honors while 45 reached All-America status.
