11-08-2017, 03:37 AM #41 Can't really do anything with this. Stamps worked well as in game achievements when the player could post using the hard to get ones. A fitting reminder that Miiverse allowed for social functionality in gaming that can't be replicated anywhere else. NES Remix's tough to get stamps were a true achievement. Miiverse you had your flaws but you did offer a unique experience.
But enough about Miiverse. I had to put my Gamepad on the charging dock and use my Pro Controller. It also allowed me to stop posting every few minutes and actually make some progress. I have the Gale Boomerang and my often forgotten companion the Fairy of Winds. A few more monkeys to save and chests to open and I'll be on my way to the Eldin region.

11-08-2017, 04:21 AM #42 Boy you said it pal. I find this guy to be one of the most relatable minor NPCs in the game. He's just trying to make a living and stay safe all while keeping a bright outlook. His time in the twilight was rough but his main thought after he was unknowingly saved by Link was to lay low for a bit until things settled down. Poor guy, he just wants a life of peace in the forest. I could use some time out in nature, it has been a while. Okay, enough rambling about a minor NPC and my lack of going outside, off to Eldin.

11-08-2017, 04:29 AM #43 What's everyone's favorite overworld theme? I really love the one found here in Twilight Princess but I also really love the Ocean theme from Wind Waker, Hyrule Field from Ocarina of Time, and the Dark World variation found in a Link Between Worlds.

Such glorious HD images! Yeah, I'd thought about the light spirits vs the dragons vs the region names vs the names of the goddesses. The only province that doesn't fit that is Ordona.

The tears of light or what are they called in Skyward Sword make my skin crawl. Those in Lanayra were tough! But it is quite magical how you're suddenly in a different realm.
I love TP's story, but that's especially due to the bond that forms between Midna and Link. The stamps are imo still more fun to collect than the rupees or whatever those chests contained before, even though we can't post them anymore.
The Zant fight was fun, so many variation, I like it. Not that hard, but that's okay for me. I wish the Twilight world was bigger to explore and had a bigger dungeon.

My favorite overworld theme is the Great Sea theme in Wind Waker.

I'm thinking I won't have as much time for this log during my work week. I work Wednesday night through Saturday night and it's peak season so I'll be putting in a lot of overtime. This log is probably going to take me all month to complete. I'm heading out the door now. Take it easy everyone!

Midna's and Link's bond were definitely a large part of TP for me. Plus, tbh, Imp Midna is kinda cute. And awesome. Good luck Weave88!

What type of world is Hyrule where someone can be a bomb maker by profession and nobody bats an eyelash?

11-13-2017, 12:35 AM #59 I didn't realize this reed was here until this play-through. I always just ran the gauntlet. With thier arrows dealing a bit more damage, I figured I should play more strategically.

11-13-2017, 12:41 AM #60 I love how the Gorons in the hot spring don't care that Link isn't supposed to be there. I guess they didn't get the memo. It does make a great little refuge to replenish hearts and fill up on life restoring milk when playing Hero Mode with the Ganondorf amiibo.

That bridge fight is annoying, but maybe also a bit epic. I like the twili or what are they called again. I like fighting them in the HD version, but a little less in the wii version with the wiimote. I guess it's the fact that you have to strategically battle them that is fun. If you don't get them the right way you have to start over.

Tonight I'm going to try and make it to Lakebed Temple. I keep getting sidtracked while playing and making progress very slowly. If I ever want to finish this log I need to be more diligent.

11-15-2017, 02:25 AM #72 I saved the Lanayru Province from the Twilight, found Ilia, saved the Zora Prince, and made it to Lakebed. I think I'll call it a day. This sequence of events, while story rich, is my least favorite part of the game to play through. It feels loke Zelda on autopilot. Playing Twilight Princess after Breath of the Wild is really solidifying for me how muc h I actually like BotW. To be fair, TP isn't much of a contender from a gameplay standpoint. It has its good moments but I feel like gameplay is constantly taking a back seat to the narritive, especially during this first Lanayru arc. I feel like after the Master Sword is obtained TP opens up a bit and allows the player more freedom to explore.
Until next week folks!

Lakebed temple is my least favorite dungeon in TP, while I loved the water dungeon in OoT. Don't like those switches and stairs and the atmosphere.

Hyrule in the original Legend of Zelda is an area known as Lesser Hyrule. If you look at the map of Adventure of Link you can see Lesser Hyrule in the bottom left. As for any connection to Twilight Princess’ Hyrule, it would be hard-pressed to make any real connection outside of Death Mountain. Geography and Cartology in Zelda is pretty fluid from game to game.

11-21-2017, 01:11 AM #79 Twilight Princess has some of the weirdest mini-bosses around. Take Deku Toad for example. What exactly makes this part of the Deku family?
