1. Mata Vaishino Devi Shrine (4 Nights / 5 days) It is one of the oldest and popular shrines of India, located at a height of 5300 feet on the holy Trikuta Hills of the Shivalik Hill Range. The Holy cave is 13 Kms from the Base Camp Katra. The Town Katra is 50 Kms away from Jammu. The Goddess Mata Vaishno Devi's abode is in 100 feet long cave with a narrow opening. The holy cold and crystal clear water washes the lotus feet of the Mata's "Pindian". There are three natural 'Pindies' representing Maha Saraswati, Maha Lakshmi, Maha Kali, which represent creative, preservative, and destructive aspects of the Super Power. It is an ancient shrine whose reference is found in the Vedas and ancient scriptures. Travel Destinations: Delhi - Jammu - Vaishino Devi - Delhi Day 01: Delhi-Jammu Arrive Delhi and later drive to Jammu. Overnight at hotel. Day 02: Jammu-Katra-Vaishino Devi After breakfast visit the famous Raghunath Mandir in Jammu and later drive for Katra. Take rest for sometime in a hotel and after freshening up start your journey to Mata Vaishino Devi. The yatra begins at Katra from where you can go bare foot, horses or palki for the darshan. Day 03: Vaishino Devi Today continue with a 13 km journey that covers Banganga, the Adhkawari cave, Sanji Chhat, Bhawan, the shrine and the Bhairon temple. Later after the blessings of Mata return back to Katra. Take rest at the hotel. Day 04: Vaishino Devi-Delhi With the blessings of Mata continue your drive back to Delhi. Overnight at hotel. Day 05: Delhi After breakfast full day sight seeing of Delhi visiting the grandeur of Old & New Delhi. Old Delhi: A sightseeing tour of Old Delhi includes the Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid and Red Fort. New Delhi: A sightseeing tour of New Delhi includes a visit to the Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar. Later Lotus Temple, A drive along the ceremonial avenue, Rajpath past the striking India Gate, Parliament House, the President's Residence would end at the Diplomatic Enclave. Later depart by flight/train towards onward destination. 2. Short Mussoorie Tour (2nights/3days) Travel Destination: Delhi-Mussoorie-Delhi Day1: Delhi-Mussoorie (290 kms) Drive to the Queen of Hills-Mussoorie. This beautiful place is famous for its scenic beauty and high snow clad mountains. With its green hills and varied flora and fauna it gives a glittering view of the Doon Valley. In the evening you can walk around the mall road, shopping and take on horse ride. Overnight at hotel. Day2: Mussoorie In the blush of next morning take on a city tour visiting Lal Tibba- The highest point in Mussoorie, located in Landour area, the oldest inhabited place in Mussoorie. Gun Hill- The second highest point in Mussoorie, offers a panoramic view of the Himalayas. One can enjoy a thrilling ropeway ride to Gun Hill and from here Mussoorie looks different. Municipal Gardens- Also known as Botanical Gardens of Mussoorie has an artificially created lake, which is a perfect picnic spot with boating facilities. Kempty Falls- 15 kms from Mussoorie on the Yamunotri Road is the most fascinating and the biggest waterfall. Camel's Back Road- the place offers a picturesque view of the sunset and a life like resemblance of a sitting camel. One can also enjoy long walks and horse riding here. Mussoorie Lake- a newly developed picnic spot situated on Mussoorie-Dehradun road. With an enchanting view of Doon valley and nearby villages it is a delightful spot. Municipal Garden- An artificially created lake is a perfect picnic spot with boating facilities. Nag Tibba- Highest place around Mussoorie and a good place for trekking. 55 kms from Mussoorie, surrounded by thick dense forests. Overnight at hotel. Day3: Mussoorie-Delhi Day for rest and later way back to Delhi. 3. Doon Valley Short Tour (2 Nights / 3 Days) Travel Destination: Delhi-Dehradun-Delhi Day1: Delhi-Dehradun (235 kms)- Early morning drive to Dehradun- gateway to the Garhwal region of Uttranchal. Dehradun is situated amidst the Himalayas, Shivaliks, Ganges and Yamuna. A picturesque valley, which was once the summer resort during the British rule. Temples, various institutions, avenues of adventure sports, abundance of special basmati rice, tea and leechi gardens, and sal forests have endowed this place to a paradise. Overnight at hotel. Day 2: Dehradun Enjoying the morning beauty take a full day city tour visiting Tapkeshwar- A cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva on the banks of a seasonal river. A picture-perfect beauty, there is a gushing river flowing by its sides that complement the main temple and other shrines studding the area with its pleasant cool waters. The Malsi Deer Park- A good picnic spot, the park is as the name suggests home to the gentle and shy deer's who can be seen nibbling at the grass from a distance. The Forest Research Institute- The biggest forest based product-training institute in India. The Botanical Garden set in the campus is another attraction of the place. Sahastradhara- The sulphur springs have unique healing powers for certain diseases both in the early eastern and the western medical sciences. It is a place where tourists come in search for natural cure. Robber's Cave- Just beyond the Anarwala village, the famous Robber's Cave is a fabulous picnic spot, which is sure to delight the visitors. Rajaji National Park- One of the finest ecological reserve in the valley of the Shivalik Mountain Ranges. With a big variety of flora and fauna this park is a home to a large number of mammals of different species. A safari through the park is going to be an experience for you. Overnight at hotel. Day3: Dehradun-Delhi Day free for leisure activities. Depart for Delhi. 4. Corbett Tour (2Nights/3days) Travel Destinations: Delhi-Corbett-Delhi Day 1: Delhi-Corbett (296 kms) In the morning drive towards Corbett. Jim Corbett National Park is located in the state of Uttaranchal in India. The park sprawls over nearly 1200 sq km and is famous for its significant population of tigers, leopards, crocodiles and elephants. The fascinating flora and fauna of the park are its major attractions. In the evening enjoy the flora and fauna with a wide variety of fascinating birds and animals. The park is essentially made up of hilly and riverine areas, marshes, plateaus and ravines that serve as the principal breeding ground for the flora & fauna found here. Among the major plants & shrubs present at Corbett National Park, Sal and Sesham trees are the most abundant. Lantana shrubs are also widely prevalent along with nearly 110 different species of trees, 51 species of shrubs and 33 species of bamboo & grass. Among the most popular fauna at the park are tiger - the most ferocious of all mammals, elephants, crocodiles, jackals, wild boar, spotted deer, monkeys and langurs. A wide variety of beautiful birds pied kingfisher, eagle, peafowl, woodpecker, cuckoo and waterfowl are also major tourist attractions of Jim Corbett National Park. Overnight at hotel. Day 2: Corbett After breakfast visit Corbett National Park- There are various jungle safaris for game viewing, a popular attraction for a tourist. The most common is the jeep safari that can be hired for a complete tour of the park. Open-air jeeps are the most comfortable means of traversing the jungle and thus they form a major tourist attraction in Corbett. A jeep safari early morning or in the evening have chances of spotting interesting wildlife more. Elephant safaris are also another option through the park. Best time to visit- In summers and reserve is closed for visitors during the rainy season between June and November. Day 3: Corbett-Delhi Day free for leisure and later in the afternoon depart back to Delhi. 5. Nainital Short Tour (2nights/3days) Travel Destination: Delhi-Nainital-Delhi Day 1: Delhi-Nainital (302 kms) Drive to the Paradise City-Nainital. A popular health resort, scenic beauty, salubrious climate all makes it a rich hill station. The town has a famous lake Naini to which it owes its name. Also the place is a haven for water sports like Yachting, Kayaking, Boating, play ground for other sports and recreation. In the evening walk around the mall road for shopping. You must not miss the joy of riding a horse on the Mall and experience the flora and fauna of Nainital. Overnight at hotel. Day 2: Nainital After breakfast enjoy the scenic beauty of Naintal visiting Hanuman Garhi- a place is of religious importance. Situated at the top is a beautiful mandir of Lord Hanuman. From such a height viewing the sunset is very soothing. Naini Lake- The picturesque blue green lake, the beautiful settlement by the lake, derives the name of the city of lakes Nainital. Naina Peak- Highest point in Nainital with a good view of the camelback peak. You can go walking or take ponies to the peak. Naina Devi Temple- The attractive lake of Nainital is said to be the eyes of Sati, wife of Lord Shiva. Sati jumped into the sacrificial bonfire. Lord Shiva to mourn the death of his beloved wife carried the body across the country. The remains of her body fell at various places, which today are sacred worship places for the Hindus. St. John's Church- This church was built in 1847. A brass memorial is kept in memory of the persons who were buried in the infamous landslide. Observatory- the clear skies over Nainital prompted the government to setup an observatory here.
