Public Authority The Public Information Officer O/o the District Collector, Collectorate, Chennai - 600 001. * * * * * For Today's (21/08/2009) enquiry, the petitioner Tmt. Chitra was present. On behalf of the Public Authority, Thiru. N. Ramamurthi, Additional P.A. to District Collector, Chennai and Thiru.P.Nagarajan, Head Quarters Deputy Tahsildar, Purasawakkam & Perambur Taluk were present.

2. The petitioner has sought the following copies of documents from the Public Information Officer.

(i) Konnur Village Map Old & New (Perambur Taluk) (ii) Settlement Register copy for Konnur Village, Villivakkam Block No.52 - T.S.No. 159 & 160 and Old Survey No. 313/2 & 313/4. (iii) Period of Classification for Natham to Sarkar Poramboke.

3. For Question No.3, information has already been given to the petitioner. The petitioner wants the copies of the documents in respect of item Nos. 1 and 2. Today, the PIO of the Collectorate, Chennai has produced the Settlement Register copy of T.S.No.159 & 160. This is corresponding to old Survey No 313. The petitioner wants the settlement register copy of old Survey No.313/2 and 313/4. The PIO informed that the said document is not available in their office and may be available in the Central Land Survey Office. Already, the Central Land Survey Office has stated that the documents are available in the Collectorate, Chennai only. The Collectorate, Chennai has furnished only the copy of the T.S.Survey No.159 and 160 and not old Survey No.313/2 and 313/4. 2 Since, it is a matter relates to Survey and Settlements, the PIO of the Directorate of Survey and Settlements, is hereby directed to furnish the settlement register copy of the old Survey No.313/2 & 313/4 of Konnur Village to the petitioner within 30 days from the date of receipt of this order.

4. As far as, the Konnur Village Map is concerned, already the petitioner was informed that the Konnur Village has been merged with the Corporation of Chennai. Therefore, the village Map will be not be made available. The reply given by the O/o the Central Survey in this regard is not correct. The petitioner wanted the copies of the old and new village map. The old village map, before merger should be furnished to the petitioner herein within 30 days from the date of receipt of this order. As far as, new map is concerned, Xerox copy of the Block map has to be furnished by the PIO, Collecorate, Chennai within 5 days from the date of receipt of this order.
